George Gamble has picked out a 12/1 Bet Builder for Monday evening's Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Everton.
20:00 Monday
Liverpool are still searching for their first victory in 2023 and they would love nothing more than to claim it against city rivals Everton on Monday night. But Sean Dyche appears to have already instilled belief into this Everton squad and they will try to turn this into a physical battle.
At the time of writing, this Bet Builder can be backed at a best price of 12/1 on Betfair.
Liverpool vs Everton Bet Builder Stats
- No Premier League fixture has finished 0-0 more often than the Merseyside Derby
- Liverpool are averaging almost eight corners per game at home this season
- The hosts average the least cards per game on home soil in the Premier League (0.90)
- Onana has committed at least one foul in nine of his 10 league away appearances and will be tasked with stopping Liverpool attacks by any means necessary
Liverpool vs Everton Bet Builder Tips
Betting Tip: Draw, Liverpool most corners, Everton most cards and Amadou Onana to commit two or more fouls @ 12/1 on Betfair
Four parts of a betbuilder caught my eye and at a nice price of just over 12/1.
The first part requires this match to end in a draw which looks as though it has a great chance. Jurgen Klopp’s men are yet to win this calendar year and scoring goals has been a big problem for the hosts, drawing blanks in all of their last three Premier League outings.
They’ll find it tough against an Everton outfit that will be fixated on keeping a clean sheet and under the tutelage of Sean Dyche, who’s to say they can’t achieve that. It could prove another frustrating outing for the Reds and a draw looks very possible.
I’m expecting the visitors to sit deep and look to pick their moments to break on Liverpool. This should allow the hosts to maintain consistent pressure and rack up the corners. Only three sides average more corners at home in the league this season and the way these sides are likely going to approach this match means Liverpool should register far more corners than their opposition.
With Everton having to keep their concentration defensively, I like the Toffees to receive the most cards in this clash. They’re averaging over two cards per away league outing this term and with the emphasis being on their physicality to see them through, you can expect referee Simon Hooper to be blowing the whistle often. But there is only so much you can get away with and I'll happily include Everton to see the majority of the cards handed out, just as half the visitors to this stadium have this campaign.
Finally, we need Everton's midfield general to commit at least two fouls. Amadou Onana has been a bright spark in what has largely been a disappointing campaign for the Toffees. However, his profile is one that will be admired by new gaffer Dyche and he’s likely to be in amongst it at Anfield.
The midfield is going to play a fundamental part of who has the upper hand in this encounter and the Belgian is going to be a busy man. If the visitors are to claim something here then he will need to be able to sniff out the danger at source and do whatever is necessary to stop potential attacks. He’s made at least one foul in all but one of his 10 away league outings and he looks a good option to make at least two fouls in total here.
