Wolves vs Bournemouth – Wolves 

Wolves have looked to turn a corner this season and it’s all thanks to the appointment of Julen Lopetegui. Wolves were destined for the drop before the former Real manager took the helm but have climbed out of the relegation zone into 15th off the back of three wins in their last five. They came from behind to beat fellow strugglers Southampton 2-1 on the south coast last weekend - a result that would seal Nathan Jones’ fate. 

On Saturday, they welcome a Bournemouth side who are really struggling at the bottom and look like one of the teams destined for the Championship. They have gone winless in nine in all competitions and look like a side who can be easily beaten. With Wolves coming good under Lopetegui and Bournemouth struggling to gain any traction, we see Wolves as the easy winners between these two.

Brighton vs Fulham – Brighton

The second leg of Saturday’s FavFour sees two overperforming teams come face to face. Both Brighton and Fulham are punching above their weight this season and are battling it out for a spot in Europe. 

Brighton will come into this game with more confidence between the two, going unbeaten in seven in all competitions. They will be disappointed to come away from London last week with only one point after a dominant display against Palace, so they will be looking to put that that right when another London club visits the south coast. 

Unfortunately for Fulham we think they’ll do just that. Marco Silva’s men have dropped off in form in recent weeks and are starting to look like their season is finally catching up with them. They have picked up the majority of their points at home this season so we can’t see them getting anything away at Brighton. A Brighton win for this one.

Brentford vs Crystal Palace – Brentford 

Brentford have been there or abouts for most of the season, but in recent weeks Thomas Frank’s men have really stepped it up. They have gone unbeaten in their last 10 in the league and have sensed with Fulham’s drop in form, they are well in the mix for Europe this season. 

They held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates last week and have positioned themselves only a point behind Fulham, with a game in hand. Frank will see this as a great chance to leapfrog their London rivals and claim that 7th spot. 

However, another London rival stands in their way first. Palace started the season with promise but have struggled to turn good performances into points. They sit 12th in the table and come into this game without a win in seven in all competitions. With Brentford in a purple patch at the moment and Palace struggling to buy a win, we think a Bees win for this one.

Nottingham Forest vs Man City – Man City 

Coming off the back of a huge win in a clash at the top of the table, Pep’s City will see this as a must win to push on. With the win at the Emirates on Wednesday night they usurped Arsenal in the league but will be wary that the Gunners still have a game in hand on them. After bringing back the old guard into their starting 11, they now have now won four of their last five and will come into this game thinking the three points is already theirs. 

A Forest team stand in their way first. Steve Cooper’s men have turned their season around and now look like one of the most likely to survive the drop. They have won three of their last five and seem to have finally found their footing in the league. 

Unfortunately for them they host a City side who are needing to win as many points from now until the end of the season to challenge for their third title in a row. With City’s far superior squad in mind and their need for every single point possible, we think they dispatch this Forest team pretty easily.
