Liverpool vs Real Madrid – Real Madrid 

The first leg of our Tuesday treble is a match up between two of Europe’s heavy weights. The pair have met twice in the final in the past five years, with Real Madrid coming out on top on both occasions. Last year’s final between the pair was a low scoring affair, with Vinicius Juniors second half goal the decider. 

For their high standards, Liverpool have been poor this season and although they have won their last two games, we can’t see them getting this one over the line against a much better team. 

Real Madrid seem to always come out on top when they face the Merseyside team. Despite playing in front of a packed out Anfield, we don’t feel Liverpool are as competitive a team this year and Real Madrid will come with a detailed game plan to counteract the Anfield atmosphere. A Real Madrid win for this one.

Frankfurt vs Napoli – Napoli 

The second leg of our treble sees high flying Italians Napoli visit Europa League champions Frankfurt. The Italian side are running away with Serie A and their summer recruitment has seemed to be a big hit with fans. They have lost only once all season in the league and topped their Champions League group after dominant displays. They are seen by many as one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season so this fixture is a huge chance to state their intentions.

Frankfurt qualified for the Champions League after beating Rangers on penalties last year to win the Europa League. They finished second in their group behind Tottenham to qualify for the knockouts but come into this game in mediocre form.

They were beaten 3-0 by Koln only a week ago but came back to beat Werder Bremen a week later and will hope they can bring the latter form into this fixture. With Napoli in such good form after winning seven in a row in Serie A and Frankfurt on shaky footing these last weeks, we see only one result here - a Napoli win.

Plymouth vs Cheltenham – Plymouth 

The final game of our Tuesday treble hosts a League One show down between promotion hopefuls Plymouth and relegation threatened Cheltenham.

Both teams are playing at completely different ends of the table this year and we expect to see this pan out in this fixture. Plymouth will see this as a real chance to win some silverware and will be looking to really kick on in the last half of the season.

Cheltenham have won only once in their last five and run a real risk of being relegated to League Two this year. Add the fact that this will be played in front of a packed out Home Park and there is only one outcome here. A Plymouth win for this final game.
