PSV vs ADO Den Haag – PSV and Over 3.5 goals

PSV host second tier ADO Den Haag at the Philips Stadium for their Dutch Cup quarter final.

PSV, who were knocked out of the Europa League by Sevilla last Thursday, bounced back with a home win against FC Twente. They face an ADO Den Haag side managed by former Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat, who are sitting in mid-table in the Netherlands’ second tier.

They will have no excuses to progress to the semi-finals and Ruud van Nistelrooy might, therefore, start a strong side, as the holders look to secure their first back-to-back success since the early 90’s.

We think PSV will put on a show and win convincingly, which is why we’ve gone for the home win and over 3.5 goals scored in the match.

De Graafschap vs Ajax – Ajax and Over 3.5 goals

A similar leg to the first, Ajax travel to De Graafschap for their Dutch Cup quarter final.

The visitors got rid of Alfred Schreuder after a poor run of form and have been flying ever since. Six draws prior to Schreuder’s departure has now turned into five wins from five since under John Heitinga (aggregate score 18-3), despite also exiting the Europa League at the hands of Union Berlin.

Adrie Poldevaart’s De Graafschap have won their last two, keeping clean sheets in both of those games. However, Ajax are a different animal to the Eerste Divisie sides, and we think they’ll run away with it, securing their place in the quarter final with a win and over 3.5 goals scored in the match.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona – BTTS and Over 2.5 goals

The final game of the treble sees the second El Clasico of the season take place, with Barcelona travelling to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid.

In La Liga, Real Madrid won the first bout, and now with both teams set to face each other three more times before the end of the season, they have the mental advantage going into this one. The hosts have not reached the Copa del Rey final since 2014, where a Madrid side inspired by Gareth Bale beat their opponents this evening 2-1 at the Mestalla in Valencia.

Barcelona go into this one seven points clear of Los Blancos in La Liga, but they did suffer just their second defeat of the season to relegation threatened Almeria, with their first defeat coming at the hands of Real Madrid back in October.

After exiting the Europa League at the hands of Manchester United, who are looking at more silverware to add following their Carabao Cup success, their confidence is clearly shot, especially with top scorer Robert Lewandowski being ruled out of this first leg. Barcelona have won this competition as recently as 2021, making that five Copa del Rey triumphs since their defeat to Real Madrid in the 2013/14 final.

We expect an entertaining game as ever from El Clasico and both teams have the quality to win the game. Whilst Real Madrid at home are the favourites, you can’t rule out Barcelona, which is why we’re going to say that both teams score and there will be over 2.5 goals scored in the game.
