Arsenal vs Bournemouth – Arsenal

Top of the league Arsenal welcome Bournemouth to the Emirates.

A midweek win against Everton means it’s three wins from three for the hosts, whereas the visitors were brought back down to earth after a big win over Wolves at Molineux, as they were beat 4-1 by Manchester City at The Vitality Stadium.

Arsenal score just over two goals a game on average, while Bournemouth have conceded exactly 2 goals per game on average. With the Gunners looking for three points to pull them further away from the chasing pack, we think an Arsenal win is on the cards in this one.

Brighton vs West Ham – Brighton

Brighton’s last Premier League game came at home to Fulham, where they actually suffered defeat. That was their first defeat in their last six games and had beaten Liverpool at the AMEX prior to that.

They have been very impressive this campaign, finding themselves in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and 10 points off the top four, with three games in hand on Tottenham in fourth.

As for West Ham, they have won just once on the road this season in the Premier League, keeping only one clean sheet in the process.

Despite a recent uptick in their home form, where they have picked up seven points from a possible nine, we think West Ham will struggle on the road again, which is why we’ve gone for Brighton in this one.

Blackpool vs Burnley – Burnley

In the Championship, Burnley hardly know what is it like to lose, with just two defeats in the campaign so far. A five-game winning run away from Turf Moor was ended by Millwall, who scraped a draw at the Den. They are in terrific form and Vincent Kompany’s side are overcoming any challenge put in front of them.

On contrast, Blackpool have been struggling this season, sitting level on points with bottom-of-the-table Wigan, despite having played a game more than the Latics.

They are unbeaten at Bloomfield Road from their last five, beating Stoke in their last home game. However, we think Burnley will have too much for them, and it would be silly to go against the runaway league leaders in this one.

Huddersfield vs Coventry – Coventry

Another Championship game which sees a struggling side host a team on the up as Coventry travel to Huddersfield.

The hosts sit in 22nd place in the table, level with Blackpool and Wigan on 31 points, and desperately need wins to move out the bottom three. Last season’s play-off final losers have had a season of turmoil, and it might continue against Coventry.

The visitors have won three of their last four, as well as keeping two clean sheets in their last two on the road. With Coventry five points off the playoffs, we think they’ll get a win to move them closer toward that.
