Betting Tip: Both teams to score

The hosts sit just four points adrift of sixth place in the table and have gone quietly about their business. Thomas Frank’s side currently possess the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League (11 games) and they’ll be keen to extend that here.

They have been exceptional at home and have been consistent scorers which is a requirement if they want to challenge in the upper half of the league table. Of the 12 league outings at the Brentford Community Stadium, the Bees have hit the back of the net in 10 of them and only drew blanks against Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, the visitors have also been dependable on the road having notched in nine of their 12 away games and they’ll be keen to claim three points themselves as they work towards securing an unexpected top six finish.

Both of these sides play attractive, entertaining football and it would be a surprise to see an overly cagey game. In a match with goal threats such as Ivan Toney and Aleksandar Mitrovic, I'll be backing both teams to contribute to the scoring.

Betting Tip: Brentford win

I previously mentioned how good the hosts have been on home soil this term. They’ve taken points in 11 of their 12 home league games and have suffered defeat on just one occasion which came against league leaders Arsenal.

Thomas Frank has got his side well drilled and they have tremendous synergy. Everyone knows their role and what is required and anything but a win here would be seen as a missed opportunity. But the opening goal could be key as Brentford have never actually lost a Premier League game when they have struck first and I think we could see the hosts come flying out of the blocks.

Fulham will certainly have their chances and will look to provide plenty of service to their forward stars. But I'm slightly concerned that Joao Palhinha is unavailable. He’s been one of the signings of the season for me and he does so much work in the midfield. That could be where the game is won and lost for me.

It should be a competitive match, but just over evens for a Brentford side that have consistently claimed points in front of their own fans to go and grab another crucial victory looks a standout pick.
