Kazakhstan vs Slovenia – Slovenia

Kazakhstan commence their Euro 2024 qualification campaign when they host Slovenia at the Astana Arena on Thursday evening.

Kazakhstan have never managed to qualify for a major international tournament, finishing fifth in their Euros group last time out.

There are signs that Magomed Adiyev's side are developing as a footballing nation, finishing top of their UEFA Nations League C group to secure promotion to League B in 2022.

After impressing in the Nations League they have suffered back-to-back defeats against Uzbekistan and UAE.

Slovenia have only managed to qualify for three major international tournaments over the years but Matjaz Kek's side managed to retain their place in League B by picking up six points in as many games against some tough opponents in Sweden, Slovenia and Norway.

Slovenia impressed in their two most recent friendlies, picking up a very impressive 1-0 win against Romania, who on paper are probably a better side than Kazakhstan and because of this we expect Slovenia to take home a narrow victory here.

Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Iceland – Bosnia and Herzegovina to win to nil

Bosnia and Herzegovina kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Iceland on Thursday evening.

With Portugal favoured to top Group J – and Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Slovakia also in the group – Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland will both be eager to start qualification on a positive note.

Iceland have struggled in recent years and have managed to win just two of their past 18 games across all competitions, with three victories coming in their previous 24 outings.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a new man at the helm on Thursday with Faruk Hadzibegic taking over from popular manager Ivaylo Petev. Hadzibegic is tasked with getting the Dragons to their first-ever European Championship.

The evergreen Edin Dzeko will be leading the line for the and the Dragons have been in good form of recent scoring five goals and kept two clean sheets across three home victories to secure promotion, so they will be confident of picking up a positive result.

We think Iceland will struggle to score goals and think Bosnia will take home all three points and keep a clean sheet.

Italy vs England – Under 2.5 goals

Taking the first step towards defending their continental crown, Italy welcome England to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for Thursday's Euro 2024 qualifying Group C opener.

Both teams will be without key men before a ball is kicked with Italy losing Federico Chiesa, Ciro Immobile and Giacomo Raspadori, whilst Southgate has lost in-form forward Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount as well due to injury.  

Italy have a phenomenal home record in home Euro qualifiers with the Azzurri have won each of their last 14 qualification games and are unbeaten in 40 since going down 3-1 to France in 2006.

Southgate and England will again try to end 57 years of hurt and the Three Lions boast 17 wins from their last 18 Euros qualifying matches.

In the last five meetings between these two sides it has ended with under 2.5 goals and with both sides losing attacking talent we can see this trend continuing.
