Republic of Ireland vs France – Over 2.5 goals

The first game of our treble sees France face the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

This will be the first qualification game for the Irish in their bid to qualify for Euro 2024, having missed out on Euro 2020 via a penalty shootout heartache vs Slovakia. Ireland edged past Latvia in a friendly game last Wednesday, but they face an all different task in the World Cup runner ups France in their first qualification game. They hold a 14 game unbeaten run at home and will have to do well to preserve it.

France got their qualification campaign off to a fantastic start against the Netherlands on Friday, winning 4-0 at the Stade de France. They were three to the good before 22 minutes were played, and they have so much quality in attack, with Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann both getting their names on the scoresheet.

With both teams able to find the net, as we have seen in their most recent matches, we think it could be a high scoring game in Ireland, so we’re going to go for over 2.5 goals in this one.

Montenegro vs Serbia – Serbia

Serbia face Montenegro in their second Euro 2024 qualification match, having both won their first qualification matches.

Montenegro held on to claim a victory away in Bulgaria, whereas Serbia swept aside a Lithuania team with relative ease.

Both teams have quality in their sides, but with the likes of Dusan Tadic, Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic in the Serbian attack, we think the Montenegrin defence will do well to silence them.

With that in mind, we think the Serbs will take all three points to make it two from two in qualification, so we think Serbia will win here.

Sweden vs Azerbaijan – Sweden + Over 2.5 goals

In the final game of our Monday treble, Sweden take on Azerbaijan, with both teams losing by three goal margins in their opening games.

Sweden had the task of taking on a new look Belgium side, with Fernando Santos at the helm, but they were unable to stop a inspired Romelu Lukaku from scoring a hat-trick in Stockholm.

As for Azerbaijan, they were beaten 4-1 by Austria under the guidance of former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick.

Both teams will want to bounce back from their poor showings in the first round of qualification games, but we think Sweden will be the ones to do so. With players such as Dejan Kulusevski, Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres in their side, they should be able to get some goals against Azerbaijan, so we think Sweden will win this one with over 2.5 goals in the game.
