Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest – Aston Villa

Aston Villa host out of form Nottingham Forest at Villa Park looking to keep their impressive run up against a side near the bottom of the league.

Aston Villa have won five of their last six games and their points tally of 16 from a possible 18 is only bettered by league leaders Arsenal (18). Ollie Watkins has been a key part of that, with five goal contributions in his last six for Villa. They look like heavy favourites to win again at home.

As for Forest, no wins in their last eight brought the pressure right on Steve Cooper, with the club having to deny he was to be sacked following mass speculation in the media. He remains in charge, but Forest need points fast. Their 1-0 win over Leeds back in February was their last win and with a tough run in, the sooner they can steer away from the drop the better.

However, we believe Villa will be too much for them, and feel they will pick up another three points against a Forest side right up against it this season.

Aberdeen vs Kilmarnock – Aberdeen

We travel up to Scotland for our next game as Aberdeen welcome Kilmarnock.

Aberdeen are behind Hearts in third by a point, with Celtic and Rangers well out of reach at the top of the table. The hosts have won five of their last six, with the only defeat coming at Celtic Park. They should have too much for Kilmarnock who are sitting just six points off the bottom of the table.

Their 2-1 win against Hearts at home was a huge boost, as they look to move further up the table, as it ended a six game winless run which ran back to early February. The last time Kilmarnock travelled to Pittodrie, they were beaten 4-1 and haven’t won in six visits, but they did shock Aberdeen in their last fixture, winning 2-1 at Rugby Park.

Despite that, we think normal service will resume for Aberdeen, and we think they’ll win here against Killie.

Leicester vs Bournemouth – Leicester

The Cherries travel to managerless Leicester with both sides in real danger of falling into the Championship.

It has been a tough season for Leicester, and with seven defeats in their last eight, Brendan Rodgers was unable to keep his job following a disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace. They weren’t able to hold on to a point against Aston Villa after going down to ten men, and a Bournemouth side who have won two of their last four league matches is not an easy game at all.

Bournemouth have picked up the majority of their points at home, collecting just eight away from home. They lost last time out to Aston Villa, but having already beaten the Foxes in the reverse fixture, they should have every chance of getting a win here.

We think this will be a close one with both teams scrapping for points, but we think the home side should grab the victory that can hopefully kickstart a winning run to steer them away from the drop.

Tottenham vs Brighton – Tottenham

Our final leg of the FavFour looks at the exciting clash between Tottenham and Brighton, with both teams still pushing for a chance of the top four.

Tottenham’s draw at Goodison Park on Monday did their Champions League hopes no favours, as they really should’ve won with the Toffees down to ten men for the majority of the second half. They sit three points behind Manchester United and Newcastle in fourth and third respectively, but have played a game more.

The Seagulls, however, have played two less games than Spurs and a win here would bring them just a point behind the North London side. Evan Ferguson has been a revelation for them this season, and the 18 year old’s tidy finish against Bournemouth gives a indication of what he can do to Tottenham, who haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last four in the league.

With Tottenham having won their last four home games, despite a poor run of form as of late and turmoil around the club and owner, we think they will edge this close match and win against Roberto De Zerbi’s men.
