Leeds vs Crystal Palace – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

The first leg of our Super Sunday treble sees a relegation six pointer as Leeds host Crystal Palace.

Both sides come into this one having won their last game, but Leeds have more points over the last six games between the two. Their three wins in their last six have them in seventh place in the form table, compared to the visitors in 18th.

Crystal Palace picked up their first win in 2023 after sacking Patrick Vieira, with them sleepwalking towards relegation, in Roy Hodgson’s first game back at Selhurst Park. They will want to pick up another win to really move them away from the drop zone.

Both sides scored in the reverse fixture back in October in a 2-1 win for the Eagles, and we think the same could happen here. With Leeds at home and Palace having struggled on the road previously, we are unsure which way it will go, but we think both teams score and there will be over 2.5 goals in the game.

Liverpool vs Arsenal – Over 2.5 Goals

Top of the league Arsenal travel to Anfield, looking to amend past results against an out of sorts Liverpool side.

This fixture has always been a flash point over the years, with many Gunners remembering the Andrey Arshavin 4-goal haul back in 2009, and many Liverpool fans remembering other big wins, which include the 5-1 win back in 2014, and then again in 2018.

The reverse fixture saw the Gunners prevail in a 3-2 victory, their first win over the Reds since their 2-1 win over them after Liverpool secured their maiden Premier League title in July 2020. However, they haven’t won in the Premier League at Anfield since September 2012, where Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla scored in a 2-0 win for the visitors.

Mikel Arteta’s side come into this one having won their last six, whereas Liverpool haven’t won in their last three. However, the last time Liverpool played at Anfield, they humbled Manchester United 7-0, and they’ll be glad to return to home soil, where they have only lost once this season.

Both sides come into this one with something to play for and it could be an exciting fixture, as it has been in previous years. We think the result could go either way, but we think over 2.5 goals will be scored in the game.

Rayo Vallecano vs Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid

On form Atletico Madrid travel to Rayo Vallecano, who are winless in their last six.

Unbeaten in their last 11 games and with five wins from six, Atletico have moved within five points of their city rivals Real Madrid in the table, and away from Real Betis in 5th. They should secure Champions League football for next season, after finishing bottom of their group earlier on this season.

Rayo had looked to be pushing for a European spot, but no wins in their last seven have stunted their progress. They have gone the longest without a win in La Liga, and might see this game as a great opportunity to buck their fortunes.

However, with Atletico in such good form, we find it hard to believe they lose here. We think the visitors will win in style.
