AC Milan vs Napoli – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

The all Italian Champions League quarter final beckons for Napoli and AC Milan at the San Siro. This is further than the visitors have ever made it in this competition, but will have to contend with the side that battered them 4-0 just over a week ago.

AC Milan only have one win in their last six games, which was the shock win over Napoli, but such a result is unlikely to happen again, now that the visitors know what damage Milan can do. They are in the hunt for their Champions League spot for next season

As for Napoli, they’ll be without top marksman Victor Osimhen for the first leg as he has an abductor injury that kept him out of their last two games. He is expected to play the second leg though. They still have quality in their ranks, which is why we think they’ll get on the scoresheet.

We saw the attacking potential AC Milan have in Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud against Napoli, and the visitors have shown their class all season, so it’ll be a very exciting tie to say the least. We think both teams will score and there will be over 2.5 goals, as AC Milan want to create a good advantage going into the second leg.

Real Madrid vs Chelsea – Real Madrid win and Over 2.5 Goals

For the third time in three seasons, Chelsea will play Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout stages.

Their first clash came in Chelsea’s spectacular campaign in 2021, where they lifted just their second Champions League trophy. The following year, an amazing second leg match between the two sides saw Real Madrid progress and go on to win the Champions League against Liverpool last season. The winner of this matchup has gone on to win the last two trophies, could it happen for a third time?

Real Madrid beat Liverpool in their Round of 16 tie and, more recently, stunned Barcelona in their El Clasico matchup, which saw they win 4-0 at Camp Nou in the Copa del Rey. They now face Osasuna in the final of that competition.

They were equally stunned by Villarreal, as they suffered a 3-2 defeat on the weekend, something Chelsea will look to achieve at the Bernabau, just as they did last season, before going out on aggregate.

The Blues have been on a rotten run, with just four wins in their last 20 league games. They did buck that trend and progress to the Champions League quarter-finals at Borussia Dortmund’s expense, after a second leg turnaround at Stamford Bridge. They look to welcome back N'Golo Kante and Thiago Silva for this one, which will only bolster their chances of winning.

However, Chelsea have looked out of sorts recently, and no goals in their last three matches highlight ongoing issues upfront, which new manager Frank Lampard will need to sort out of they have any chance of progressing. We think with that in mind, Real Madrid will be hungry for goals to take to London, and we think they’ll win, with over 2.5 goals in the game.
