Inter Milan vs Benfica – Inter Milan win (90 minutes)

Inter Milan return to home soil to face Benfica with the aim of securing their first Champions League semi-final since their last Champions League title in 2010.

Their first leg win was their only win in all competitions in their last eight, but they will qualify if they avoid defeat, something they were unable to prevent against Monza last weekend.

Benfica have a mountain to climb against Inter Milan if they are to secure their semi-final spot against Napoli or AC Milan.

The Portuguese side has to score at least two more goals than the hosts to force extra time. They’ll be hoping to take advantage of Inter’s poor form to get a result at the San Siro and dump out the three time winners. However, the visitors are on a run of three defeats in a row, where before they had only lost two games all season

However, we think Inter Milan are the better team and will be on their game in a match of massive stakes, so we will back them to qualify with a win in 90 minutes.

Bayern Munich vs Man City – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score (90 minutes)

Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich face an uphill task if they wish to reach the semi-finals against Manchester City, who are on a quest to deliver their maiden Champions League title.

Only three teams have recovered from a three goal deposit after the Round of 16 stage to progress, those being Liverpool in 2019, Roma in 2018 and Deportivo La Coruna in 2004.

Bayern Munich will need to become the fourth team to do so if they are to win, but Manchester City are no strangers to inconceivable comebacks, as they fell victim to that in their semi-final defeat to Real Madrid last season from a seemingly impossible position.

With Erling Haaland up front, it should be an easy task for City to progress, but they did lose on their last visit to the Allianz Arena. Their last win came the year before, where they recovered from going 2-0 down to win in their final group stage match in the 2013/14 season.

With Bayern needing to come out all guns blazing, we think City will match their attacking firepower and go for goals in this one. We think they’ll be over 2.5 goals in the game, and both teams will score in 90 minutes.

Middlesbrough vs Hull – Middlesbrough and Over 2.5 Goals

Middlesbrough recovered from a three match winless run in style against Norwich, and will look to put Hull to the sword in similar fashion at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough put five past Norwich in a six goal belter. Hull travel to Teeside with just one win in their last seven and with both relegation and the play-off spots realistically out of their reach with just four more games to play for.

They might be accused of being on the beach as a result, and we think Middlesbrough will take advantage of that and send a warning to the other sides in the play-off spots. We think Boro will prevail here and win with over 2.5 goals in this one, which has been the case in the last five Middlesbrough games in the Championship.
