Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 6/1 FavFour backs more Chelsea pain

Man City vs Leeds – Man City

The league leaders reclaimed the top spot with an emphatic 3-0 win vs West Ham on Wednesday night and now they look ahead to Leeds to go one step closer to reclaiming their title.

This game will be Sam Allardyce’s first in charge, so we can expect some kind of response from the Leeds players; however, we can’t see them causing to many issues at the Etihad. 

City have dropped points only twice at home this season, losing to Brentford then drawing with Everton and have gone on to win eight in a row ever since. Leeds, on the other hand, have won only two away from home all season, so we really can’t see them pulling off a miracle here. Man City to win easily. 

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace – Tottenham 

The second game of our FavFour sees a London derby between Spurs and Palace. Spurs have been in a bit of a downfall in recent weeks, culminating in two managerial departures and a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Newcastle.

However, they did manage to put together two good displays, at home to Man Utd and on the road to Liverpool, so there may still be hope for their chances of qualifying for Europe next year. 

The visitors are sitting mid table and can be considered safe after hitting the magical 40 point mark. Most their points have come at home this year, often struggling on the road.

They have won only three on the road in the last 10 so we can’t see them causing too many problems against a Tottenham team who have been relatively consistent at home in recent weeks. They have won four of their last six at home and drew with United on their last outing after going two behind.

Wolves vs Aston Villa – BTTS 

The third game of our FavFour is a West Midlands derby between Wolves and Villa. The visitors have been in some of the best form in the league since the turn of the year and have seen their position rise to be able to compete for Europe this year.

However, with Liverpool overtaking them and Brighton having three games in hand, they look set to battle it out with Spurs for 7th place. Before their loss to United last weekend, they set a record by scoring in every single game Emery had been in charge so we think a goals play is the best option here. 

Wolves have been in pretty good form since Lopetegui took control and have scored in five games in a row at home, winning four. With both teams coming into this one in pretty decent home and away form, we think both teams to score is the best option for this one. 

Bournemouth vs Chelsea – Bournemouth/Draw Double Chance 

The final game of our Saturday FavFour is sees Bournemouth host a struggling Chelsea side. The Blues haven’t won in seven games and sit in 12th place, five points off Europe. Frank Lampard is yet to win since taking over for a second stint at the Bridge, and unfortunately for them we can see this run continuing when they face a resilient Bournemouth team. 

The Cherries were all but down only a few weeks ago but Gary O’Neil’s side have pulled off several huge results to claw their way up the table. They have won four of their last five, climbing level on points with Chelsea and will leap frog them with a win.

With Chelsea coming into this one in such poor form we can’t see them winning this one, but they may be able to claw a draw. For this one we think a Bournemouth/draw double chance bares the most value.
