AC Milan vs Inter Milan Bet Builder Tips

Under 2.5 Goals

The San Siro will host both legs of the Champions League semi-final between AC Milan and Inter Milan with the eventual winners booking themselves a final spot in Istanbul on the 10th of June. Inter boast the superior form heading into the first leg and they’ll be hoping to extend a five game winning run to put them in the driving seat for the return fixture.

Their local rivals have struggled to acquire maximum points of late with three draws in their last six matches across all competitions despite an impressive unbeaten run. AC haven’t conceded more than one in a match since March 18th but have failed to create enough chances to consistently outscore their opponents.

In contrast, Inter Milan are in good goalscoring form of late but with one eye on the return fixture and so much at stake, we are expecting a less expansive display from Simone Inzaghi’s side on Wednesday night who will believe they have enough quality to come out on top over the two legs. With that in mind, we are backing under 2.5 goals for the first leg of the bet builder.

Lukaku Over 1.5 Shots on Target

It’s not been Romelu Lukaku’s most prolific domestic season by any means, but signs are emerging that the Belgian strikers fortunes might be turning and the three goals he’s scored in his last three starts should mean Inter’s number nine goes into this match with plenty of confidence.

Lukaku was forced to watch from the bench when Inter put six past Hellas Verona but responded well on his return to the side with an important goal against Roma.

It might not be enough to get him a goal, but we expect Inter’s front man to get plenty of shots away on Wednesday night.

Inter Milan Most Corners

While these two sides do look well matched on paper, Inter’s recent form should allow them to dominate the game overall.

With Rafael Leão potentially forced out of the first leg through injury, AC may well look to a more conservative approach with the hope of securing qualification in the second leg.

Inter also had the most corners from both Serie A fixtures between the two sides this season, and we expect this trend to continue.

Although we expect a tense low scoring game overall, Inter should dominate the ball and ultimately create more in the final third, and with that in mind we are backing Inter Milan to have the most corners.
