Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 9/1 FavFour backs Man Utd vs Wolves

Man Utd vs Wolves – Man Utd 

The first game of Saturday’s FavFour sees Wolves travel to Old Trafford to face Erik ten Hag’s side. The Red Devils have been in mixed form of late. They have really struggled on the road in recent weeks, losing to both West Ham and Brighton on their last two outings, however, they have been very good at home. 

They have won eight of their last 10 home games, drawing two, so we think Wolves may struggle to pick up a result. They have had a resurgence under Julen Lopetegui and have secured their safety for another year. They haven’t won in any of their last six away fixtures so we can’t see them causing too many problems here. A United win for the first game of Saturdays FavFour. 

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth – Crystal Palace 

Bournemouth travel to Palace next. With both teams practically safe there isn’t much left to play for but bragging rights in this one, however, Bournemouth would be mathematically safe should they pick up a point on their travels, meaning they will be coming into this raring to go. 

They have been in good form on the road in recent weeks too. They have picked up three consecutive wins and will be brimming with confidence. However, Palace are no pushovers at home. They have lost only one of their last eight and have been scoring at free will. With this in mind, we think Palace will nick the result here. 

Southampton vs Fulham – Fulham 

Fulham travel to Championship bound Southampton in this one. The Saints are rock bottom and look all but set to be playing their football in the Championship next season. They are winless in their last 10 matches and haven’t won at home since the beginning of March, beating fellow relegation favourites Leicester 1-0. 

Fulham, on the other hand, are having a good season. They were competing for the European spots for the majority of the season, but have fell down the table in recent weeks. Although they have struggled on the road lately, with only two wins in their last six, we think they will get this one over the line.

Southampton are really struggling this season and a loss here would relegate them. Unfortunately for them, we think this will happen. Fulham to win and relegate Southampton. 

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest – Chelsea 

The final game of our FavFour sees Chelsea host Forest. The Blues have really been struggling in recent weeks but managed to pick up their first win in eight games last week when they beat Bournemouth 3-1 on the South Coast. Frank Lampard will hope his side can build on this and finish the season on a high note. 

Forest stand in their way next. Steve Cooper’s men are another team who have clawed their way out of the relegation zone, but remain at risk. However, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Palace still to play, they look like one of the teams with one of the biggest hills to climb.

On top of this, they have the worst away form in the league over the last 10 games, with only a win and a draw to their name, so it would be a miracle if they picked up anything on their travels to Stamford Bridge.

Although Chelsea haven’t been in good form, Forest have been in dreadful away form and with Chelsea getting back to winning ways last week, we see Chelsea diminishing Forest’s chances of survival.
