Football Accumulator Tips: Ligue 2 title chasing Bordeaux in Friday’s Treble

Sampdoria vs Sassuolo – Sassuolo 

The first game of Friday’s treble sees Sassuolo travel to bottom of the table Sampdoria for their penultimate game of the season. The hosts are already down after winning only three games all season and have nothing to play for. They have lost four of their last five fixtures, being battered 5-1 by AC Milan on their last outing. Coming into this one they look to have very little hope of a result. 

The visitors are mid table and don’t have much to play for either. They also come into this one in poor form, with only one win in their last five. They have won three of their last 10 on the road, with two draws, against much more difficult opposition, so we can see them picking up the points here. Sassuolo to win. 

Sochaux vs Metz – Metz 

The second game of our treble sees promotion chasing Metz visit 6th placed Sochaux. Metz still have an outside chance of winning the league and remain only three points behind Bordeaux, so a win here is a must for them. They come into this one in excellent form, going unbeaten in their last 24 games in the league as they look set to battle it out for promotion. 

The hosts on the other hand couldn’t be in worse form. They have lost six in a row in the league and have failed to score in three of this games. There season has crumbled in the last few weeks and they now have nothing left to play for. 

With Metz in such good form, pushing for promotion and Sochaux falling apart of late, we can only see one winner here. Metz to win and put pressure on those above them. 

Annecy vs Bordeaux – Bordeaux 

The final game of our Friday treble sees title chasing Bordeaux travel east to face Annecy FC. Bordeaux look set to reclaim their spot in Ligue 1 next year but are looking to do so in style. They sit only two points behind Le Havre and will be hoping they slip up to be able to leap frog them to the top of the table. 

Bordeaux are the side in form with four wins in their last five, so this is more than possible. They have been good on the road in recent weeks too, only one loss in their last five, so they will be raring to go when they visit Annecy. 

The home side having nothing left to play for this year. Sitting 15th in Ligue 2, they can no longer be relegated or promoted so they are just set to see out the rest of the season the best they can. They have drawn three of their last five games, and have won only two of their last five at home, so we can’t see them causing Bordeaux too many problems. Bordeaux to win and put pressure on Le Havre for the title.
