Carlisle vs Stockport County – Stockport County to be promoted

The second EFL Play-off final taking place this weekend sees Carlisle and Stockport County head to Wembley for a chance to be competing in League One next season.

From their two games this season, Stockport have the advantage, winning the first meeting of these sides, whilst a draw was settled back in mid-April. They are also unbeaten in 14 of their last 15 matches, and have lost just twice in their last 22 matches, one of which was against Salford in the first leg of the play-off semi-final.

As for Carlisle, they have won just two of their last 11, one being against Bradford in their semi-final. Stockport were promoted from the National League last season, and a win here would mean back to back promotions into League One.

The play-off final can often go to extra time and a dreaded penalty shoutout, but Stockport got through against Salford via a penalty shootout, and we think the Hatters will do the job at Wembley.

Rayo Vallecano vs Villarreal – Villarreal win

We go across to Spain in the second leg of our Super Sunday treble where Villarreal travel to Rayo Vallecano, with the hosts still in with a chance of European football, and the visitors fighting for Champions League football.

Rayo suffered a damaging defeat at Real Madrid, after equalising late on, which means their third defeat in a row has decreased their chances of reaching the Europa Conference League for next season.

As for Villarreal, they are up against it in terms of a Champions League place for next season, and it looks like the Europa League will be where they will be competing next season. They need to make up five points on Real Sociedad with six points remaining up for grabs.

Rayo picked up a shock win in the reverse fixture, their first win against their opponents in their last six, but Villarreal won here 5-1 last season. We think, with that in mind, the Yellow Submarine will win this one and hope Sociedad drop points to keep their Champions League dream alive.

Juventus vs AC Milan – Both Teams to Score

The final game from our Super Sunday treble sees AC Milan travel to Turin to play Juventus.

After their Europa League exit against Sevilla, their recent 10 league point deduction and big defeat at Empoli, Juventus are now up against it to qualify for the Champions League, after looking guaranteed to finish in the top four. They must win to make ground on current fourth place AC Milan, but a win for the visitors could guarantee their Champions League spot for next season, but it could also go down to the final day.

AC Milan’s big 5-1 win over Sampdoria, after three defeats in a row without scoring, puts them in good stead for a result against an out of form and Juventus. The Old Lady have not beat the Rossoneri in their last four league games, and lost 2-0 in the reverse fixture. They have scored 19 goals in their respective last six games, and we think both teams will get on the scoresheet here.
