Beaten Semi-finalists Netherlands and Italy face off against each other in the Nations League Third Place play-off.
Both teams got on the scoresheet in their semi-finals but were unable to see it through to reach the final. Netherlands will want to restore some pride after going out to Croatia on home soil, whereas Italy have had a mixed international form since their impressive Euro 2020 win.
Both teams weren’t at their best defensively, and these sorts of games usually sees goals. Italy won the last Nations League Third Place Play-off against Belgium by two goals to one, and there is every chance a similar scoreline goes their way again, so both teams to score with over 2.5 goals in the game is our pick for this first leg of our Sunday treble.

Paraguay vs Nicaragua – Paraguay win to nil
Our second game from our Sunday Treble see’s Paraguay face demoralised Nicaragua.
Whilst only being a friendly game, Nicaragua will be playing their first game after learning that they will be banned from the Gold Cup for fielding an ineligible player. They have also been relegated to League B of their next CONCACAF Nations League competition, which makes qualification for next summer’s Copa America impossible.
With this in mind, Paraguay, who have dropped off the map in terms of their football team, have not qualified for the last three World Cups, with their last appearance being in the Quarter-final stage in the 2010 World Cup and finishing as runners up in the 2011 Copa America, are expected to grab a victory.
We think it’ll be the hosts who win whilst keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Croatia vs Spain - Both Teams to Score
The Nations League final between Croatia and Spain should be a good quality game between two impressive sides.
Both edged past their respective semi-final opponents and will look to win their first Nations League, especially Spain, who were runners up to France in the 2021 Nations League Final.
Croatia scored four the Netherlands, while a late Joselu goal sent Spain through. Croatia showed their quality in the World Cup and came third in the tournament. They beat Morocco, who beat both Spain and Portugal en-route to the semi-finals.
La Roja will be hoping for a better showing in this tournament by winning the game, but it will be a close affair. We think both teams will get on the scoresheet, with either side having a good chance of joining France and Portugal by winning the Nations League final.
