The oddschecker team have picked out a 5/1 Tuesday treble covering action from the U21 European Championships.
17:00 Tuesday
Netherlands U21 vs Georgia U21 – Netherlands/ Draw Double chance
The first game of our Tuesday treble sees Netherlands face the surprise of group A, Georgia. In a group consisting of Netherlands, Portugal and Belgium, many saw Georgia as the odd team out who would crash out of the competition at the groups. Fast forward to now, and that is hardly the case.
The Georgians sit top of the group after two games. They beat Portugal 2-0 in the first game and drew with Belgium to plant one foot in the next round.
Netherlands, on the other hand, have had a slow start. They were seen as one of the favourites coming into the tournament but with two draws in their first two, they run the risk of missing out on the knockout stages. They are on equal points with Belgium so need a win to have any chance of progressing.
However, Georgia will be no pushovers. Netherlands have drawn their last four games, so we thought a double chance would be the best play here. With everything to play for we will go Netherlands/ Draw double chance.
17:00 Tuesday
Portugal U21 vs Belgium U21 – Belgium U21
The other game in group A sees Portugal face Belgium. Portugal have been underwhelming this tournament so far. They sit bottom of the group after losing the opening game vs Georgia and only have points on the board thanks to a draw with Netherlands.
Coming into the tournament they won six in a row, but they just haven’t turned up for this tournament and they look like the outsiders to progress now.
Belgium’s progression is all in their hands. All they have to do is win vs Portugal and better the Netherlands result vs Georgia. We think they’ll do just that.
They have had a very similar tournament to Netherlands, drawing their opening two games but we feel they have the edge in this one. They are unbeaten in 12 and have a very solid defence. Coming up against a Portuguese side who have been shy in front of goal this tournament, we think Belgium will get the result here.
19:45 Tuesday
Spain U21 vs Ukraine U21 – Spain U21
The final game of our Tuesday treble has Spain taking on Ukraine for top spot in group B. Both sides have won their opening games but it is Spain who will come into this with the most confidence after winning bother their games with ease.
These two sides along with England are the only teams who are yet to concede a goal in the tournament so we cant see this one being a high scoring affair. Spain come into this unbeaten in 12 and have scored over three goals in nine of those games.
Ukraine, on the other hand, haven’t managed to score more than two in any of their last five games, so we see Spain as the favourites here, as they are for the whole tournament.
