Football Accumulator Tips: Wednesday’s 15/2 Treble backs favourites England

England U21 vs Germany U21 – England U21

The England U21 team is one of the most stacked with talent in the whole tournament, so it is no wonder they are considered one of the favourites to go all the way this summer. Lee Carsley’s side have a 100% record in the tournament, winning their first two games comfortably without conceding a goal. 

Coming into this game they were in poor form; however, since the start of the tournament they have looked like a team well in the mix to win the Euros. 

Germany, on the other hand, look set to crash out of the tournament. They drew their opening game with Israel, then lost vs Czech Republic. With one team in hot form and one struggling for traction, we see only one winner. England U21 to win comfortably again. 

Italy U21 vs Norway U21 – Italy U21 

The second game of Wednesday’s treble is Italy U21 vs Norway U21. The senior Italians are the reigning European Champions and the U21’s are looking to achieve the feat themselves. They have got off to a decent start and have positioned themselves well to progress into the next round. 

Although they narrowly lost vs France U21 in the first game, they went on to beat Switzerland 3-2 to claim second place in Group D coming into this one. 

The Norwegians, on the other hand, have had a terrible start to the tournament as they look set to crash out of the Euros. They sit bottom of the group after losing against France and Switzerland, scoring only once so far. They haven’t won in six games so we cant see them winning this one. Italy U21 to win. 

Switzerland U21 vs France U21 – France U21 

The final game of Wednesday’s treble sees top of group D, France U21 take on Switzerland U21. The French have won their opening two games in pretty convincing fashion and look set to progress as group winners. Similar to England, they didn’t come into the tournament in the best of form, but have turned up when it matters most. 

Switzerland beat Norway unconvincingly in the first game then lost to Italy to drop to 3rd in the group. They came into this tournament in inconsistent form and have seen that continue into the Championships. With France playing like they could be in the mix to win the whole competition and Switzerland struggling for form, we think France should win this one.
