FC Sheriff vs Farul Constanta – FC Sheriff

The first game of Tuesday’s treble sees FC Sheriff host Farul Costanta. The visitors are the reigning Romanian champions and have gotten their 2023/24 campaign off to a decent start, winning their opening game. 

They travel to an FC Sheriff side who have had a good reputation in Europe in the past few years. Although they didn’t make it out of their Europa League group last year, they notably beat Omonoia twice to qualify for the Conference League, where they made it to the round of 16 and eventually dropped out to Nice. 

Although Farul come into this with a one goal lead from the first leg, FC Sheriff have a good reputation in Europe and will come in this one with more confidence. FC Sheriff to win.

Maccabi Haifa vs Hamrun Spartans – Maccabi Haifa to Nil

Maccabi Haifa are another team with a good record qualifying for Europe in the past few years. The Israeli champions qualified for the Champions League last year and were placed in group with PSG, Juventus and Benfica, and famously beat Juventus 2-0. 

They look set to qualify for the Champions League again this year after a first leg game finished 4-0 on the road vs Hamrun Spartans. Playing in front of their home crowd, they will surely dominate the game again and set one foot into the next round. Maccabi Haifa to win easily.

TNS vs BK Hacken – BK Hacken

The final game of Tuesday’s treble sees the reigning Allsvenskan champions travel to Wales to face The New Saints. The Swedish team are in the middle of their season and match fit, so it is no surprise they ran out as 3-1 winners in the first leg, and we expect the same again here. 

Although they are on course to lose their title, they remain only a point behind IF Elfsborg so will look to keep up their form in Champions League qualifying. The Welsh team are far below the level of their Swedish counterparts, as displayed in the first leg, so we expect another easy win for Per-Mathias Høgmo’s men.
