Argentina Women vs South Africa Women – Both Teams to Score

The first game of our Friday treble sees a match between Argentina and South Africa.

Both sides lost in their first matches and if one fails to win, they could be eliminated from the competition on Saturday, when the two winners from the first games, Sweden and Italy, face each other.

Argentina fell to the Italians whilst South Africa went down 2-1 losers to Sweden, and both will be looking for a reply.

With both teams needing to score to stand a chance of grabbing the win, we think they’ll be up for it, knowing a win could give them a chance of qualification. Both Teams to Score is our prediction for the first game of the day.

England Women vs Denmark Women – England win to nil

England grabbed the 1-0 win they needed against Haiti to start their campaign, even if it was somewhat underwhelming. They now take on Denmark, who beat China by the same scoreline in their opener.

After a uninspiring win, the Lionesses will want to show the class that they have in their ranks as the reigning European Championships holders. They have the edge against Denmark, having won the last three encounters between the two sides; their most recent win against the Danes coming in a 3-0 friendly victory in May 2019.

Denmark have lost all three of their Women’s World Cup matches against European opposition, and will hope for a better ending to this latest chapter.

However, we’re going to back the Lionesses to keep a clean sheet and win against the Danes to all but confirm their knockout stage place.

China Women vs Haiti Women – China win

The final game of the treble, and the second game in Group D, sees Haiti and China clash.

Their fates will be in their own hands, but realistically, a win is what is required to give them a fighting chance of progression. Should Denmark and England draw, if any side is to lose this game, they’ll be eliminated from the tournament.

Both sides lost 1-0 in Round 1 and will want to bounce back and claim a victory. China have failed to score in their last three World Cup matches, but we think they’ll buck the trend and grab the win in the match against Haiti to give them a chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
