Slavia Prague vs Dnipro-1 – Slavia Prague 

The first game of Thursday’s treble sees Czech side Slavia Prague host Ukrainian Premier League side, Dnipro-1. This is Slavia Prague’s first qualifying game, whilst Dnipro-1 crashed out of the second round of Champions League qualifying, losing 5-3 on aggregate to Panathinaikos and because of this the Ukrainian side has now qualified for the third round of Europa League qualifying. 

Both sides have gotten their domestic campaigns off to a good start. Slavia Prague have won three out of three and are sitting in joint top, whilst Dnipro-1 beat Polissya Zhytomyr 2-1 in their opening game. 

Slavia Prague didn’t lose at home all of last season and have won their first two at home this season, so they consider their homegrown a fortress. Although Dnipro-1 won 67% of their games on the road in the league last year, we think Slavia’s home form is just too formidable. Slavia Prague to win this leg.

Rapid Vienna vs Debrecen – Rapid Vienna 

Our next game sees Austrian side Rapid Vienna host Hungarian side FC Debrecen. The hosts haven’t been in Europe since the 21/22 season, whilst Debrecen last played in Europe over a decade ago. 

Rapid Vienna are seeded coming into this so this will be their first qualifying game, whilst Debrecen edged past Alashkert on penalties in the second round. They were dominant over both games but were only able to convert twice from 42 shots. They will be hoping they are more clinical coming into this one.

The Austrians are still unbeaten in the league so far, winning one and drawing one and have scored five whilst only conceding one. The away side haven’t been good on the road in the last year, winning only 38% away from home, so our pick for this one is to go with the defensively sound home team here. Rapid Vienna to win.

Hajduk Split vs PAOK Salonika – Hajduk Split 

The final game of Thursday's treble has Croatian side Hajduk Split facing Greek side PAOK Salonika. The Croatians have got their season off to a good start with two wins on the bounce, whilst the Greek league is yet to start.

Hajduk Split beat last year's Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb on the road in their opening game of the season to really set a marker for the rest of the season and show they mean business this year. 

They won 67% of their home games last season, and have gotten off to an excellent start this year. PAOK, on the other hand, had a tough pre-season but beat Beitar Jerusalem 4-1 in the second round of qualifying. Although they were good on the away leg of that game, we see the Croatian side as a completely different beast and may be too much on the day. Hajduk Split to win the first game of the leg.
