Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 10/1 FavFour for the Premier League

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest – Arsenal 

The Premier League is back and the first game of Saturday’s Favfour sees last year's runners up Arsenal host Steve Cooper and Nottingham Forest. 

Arsenal have made several additions to their squad, including spending over £100 million on Declan Rice, and they will hope these signings can take them one step further this year.

They face Forest in their opening game, and they will come into this one thinking this should be an easy win. The last time Forest visited the Emirates, the Gunners ran away as 5-0 winners, and with an improved team this year can only build upon that. 

Arsenal had a 74% win rate at home last year and only lost two all season, whilst Forest had the worst away record in the league, winning only 5% on the road. Yes this is a new season, but we can see this trend continuing for this first game. Arsenal to win pretty comfortably.  

Bournemouth vs West Ham – West Ham 

The next game of Saturday’s FavFour has Bournemouth facing West Ham. The Hammers had a tough time in the league last season and survived by the skin of their teeth, but they had a successful European campaign, winning the Europa Conference League to get them back in Europe again this season. 

Bournemouth survived last year, to a lot of surprise, and it was all down to Gary O’Neil, who unfortunately for them has now left the club to take over at Wolves. So soon before the season, the Cherries will now be worried coming into this season without anyone at the reigns.

West Ham have added several new players to their squad to help battle the fatigue they felt last year, and it has only made them stronger for it. Bournemouth, on the other hand, haven’t really improved their squad too much and have added much of the same. 

Neither side had a good home or away record last year so this one will be down to quality and form. WhoScored.com have West Ham’s chances at victory at 50% and Bournemouth’s at 33%, so for that reason well go with West Ham to win on the road here. 

Sheffield United vs Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace 

Next we have one Crystal Palace visiting Sheffield United, back in the league after a two year spell in the Championship. The Blades finished rock bottom on their stint in the league and are fighting the impact of losing key players this time round. 

Palace have lost their star man Wilfried Zaha on a free this summer, but still have Eze and Olise leading their front line. They finished 11th last season and many expect more of the same from them this season. 

Although it was in the Championship, Sheffield United had the join best home record last season, winning 70% of games at Bramall Lane and they will be looking to make their home ground a fortress once more. The Eagles will be their first test.

They struggled a bit on the road last year, but with a new season comes a new side. WhoScored have this going 50/50; however, with this being Sheffield United’s first game back in the league, we think Palace may remind them of the step up in quality. Crystal Palace is the pick for this one. 

Brighton vs Luton – Brighton 

The final game of the first Premier League FavFour of the season is between Brighton and Luton. The Seagulls were the surprise of last season, having qualified for the Europa league and they welcome Premier League newcomers Luton for their first game back this season. 

Will Mitoma still be at Brighton after this summer?

Luton were promoted on penalties in the play-off final last year after making a late run in the closing stages of the season. They have made several new additions to the squad to make it Premier League quality, but despite this they still remain 4/11 favourites to face the drop. 

The have a tough task for their first game of the season, as Brighton look set to challenge at the top end yet again. They won 53% of their home games last year, only losing five and WhoScored have them with a 50% chance of winning this, whilst Luton are at 33%.
