Aberdeen vs Celtic - Celtic win

Celtic breezed past Ross County on the opening day of the season and they travel to face Aberdeen.

Celtic have won the last six games against their opponents on Sunday, winning to nil in their last four meetings.

As for Aberdeen, they drew away at Livingston and were anything but impressive in that 0-0 stalemate, so a game against the champions is the worst possible next game coming up.

Whilst we might expect a similar result, Celtic are still adapting to life under Brendan Rodgers, after Ange Postecoglou left to join Tottenham. With that in mind, we do think whilst Celtic might concede a goal, we still think they’ll grab the win and continue their winning start to the season.

Brentford vs Tottenham - Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

Having lost the services of Harry Kane after his transfer to Bayern Munich was confirmed, Tottenham will need to pick themselves up in their first Premier League match under Ange Postecoglou against Brentford.

The Bees were very impressive last season but will also be without their talismanic English striker in Ivan Toney, who is banned from football until the new year.

The last time these teams met, Brentford beat Spurs 3-1 with an electric second half display and it could be a similar result given the departure of Kane.

We think that both teams will score in their opening fixture, and there will be over 2.5 goals in the game, but we don’t know which way it will go.

Chelsea vs Liverpool - Under 2.5 Goals

The final Super Sunday leg sees Chelsea and Liverpool lock horns once again.

Both sides will be disappointed with their 2022/23 campaigns, having both failed to qualify for the Champions League this season. Chelsea brought in Mauricio Pochettino and have looked good in pre season, but has managed to beat Jurgen Klopp just once as a manager.

The two sides have been locked in a battle for Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window, and there has been nothing to split the sides on the pitch as well. The last four ties between the two sides have finished 0-0 going back to January 2022.

With that in mind, we think that it might be a rather underwhelming start to both of these new look sides. We think it will be a low-scoring match like the last four meetings, so were going for under 2.5 goals in this one.
