Considering the lack of quality that Sheffield United have, after losing key men from last season, it would be a surprise to pick up anything against Manchester City.

City won and scored over 2.5 goals against Burnley and are yet to concede this season, winning their first two games. They are expected to challenge for the title again, and a big win could be on the cards.

As for the hosts, many expect a return to the Championship and feel their squad is not capable of staying up. Their defeat to Crystal Palace on the opening day, just a single shot on target in comparison to Palace’s eight on target, and just three shots on target against Forest highlight a clear toothless attack.

Erling Haaland is expected to score in the match but at a best price of 1/2, we think the better price of City to win with over 2.5 goals in the game, so that’s what we’re going to back in the first leg of our Super Sunday treble.

Burnley vs Aston Villa – Both Teams to Score + Over 2.5 goals

It’s Burnley vs Aston Villa in the second game of our Super Sunday treble.

Aston Villa have looked very dangerous this season and Burnley, who lost in their only game played so far at home to champions Manchester City, will want to bounce back from the opening day defeat against the Villans.

The Clarets were the top scorers in the Championship last season and Aston Villa have scored the joint second most goals scored before the weekend started. Their defensive frailties have been highlighted against Newcastle, where they lost 5-1, as well as their attacking prowess which was in full flow against Everton in their 4-0 win.

We think Villa could grab another win to move them further up the table, but away at Turf Moor might be a potential banana slip for them. With that said, we think both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. The last three meetings between these two at Turf Moor have resulted in this bet returning, and we think it’ll happen again.

Newcastle vs Liverpool – Newcastle win

The Super Sunday treble finishes at St James Park where Liverpool travel to Newcastle.

Liverpool looked like good value for a point against Chelsea and got their first win against Bournemouth in their second game, whereas Newcastle destroyed Aston Villa, just to come back down to earth against Manchester City, who picked up a 1-0 win over them.

The last time Newcastle picked up a win against Liverpool was in December 2015, which might seem strange to suggest a win for the Geordies. Newcastle were unlucky not to pick up a point at Anfield last season, conceding a late goal from Fabio Carvalho to lose, whilst Nick Pope’s red card at St James Park last season meant The Reds strolled to a win.

However, Newcastle managed 13 shots on target against Aston Villa, with Isak scoring a brace in their opening game. Liverpool have conceded six goals in their last three Premier League games and haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last four, and with some defensive injuries, they may not seem as sturdy as they have previously.

Newcastle at home were a very strong side last season, losing just twice and conceding the second least goals at home, only second to Manchester United. With all that in mind, we think it could be a big win for Newcastle as they continue to establish themselves amongst the Premier League’s best. Newcastle to win this one is our prediction.
