Salernitana vs Udinese – Both Teams to Score

Salernitana and Udinese meet for the first time this campaign after their 3-2 thriller in the penultimate game of last season. It finished 3-2 to the home side, and there’s every reason that happens again.

The hosts conceded the joint third most goals last season (62), whilst Udinese finished off the last campaign with four straight defeats.

Salernitana held on for a draw in Rome against Jose Mourinho’s Roma side, whilst Udinese lost to Juventus 3-0.

Both sides will want to grab their first win, and Udinese especially will want to bounce back from their latest defeat, so there is every chance both teams can get on the scoresheet.

Cagliari vs Inter Milan – Inter Milan win

Italian giants Inter Milan travel to Cagliari in the second game of our Monday treble.

Inter have won 76 of their 114 games over the last three seasons, and kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 win at home to Monza. They have the quality and talent to be up there once again this season.

As for Cagliari, they picked up a point against Torino in their first game back to Serie A since promotion from the second tier.

Inter have won five of the last six encounters, with the one draw coming in January 2020 where Inter finished the game with nine men.

We can see another win for the Nerazzurri in this second game.

Rayo Vallecano vs Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid win

We finish our Monday treble with a trip to Spain, as Rayo Vallecano host Atletico Madrid.

This looks like it might be a tight contest, despite the history of this fixture going Atletico Madrid’s way. The visitors come into this one winning five of the last six fixtures and are unbeaten at Estadio de Vallecas in their last six visits. Rayo last beat Atletico in 2013, so a victory for the home side would be an upset.

Both sides are unbeaten this season, but Rayo lead the way in terms of points, picking up two wins from two, whilst Atletico Madrid were held to a goalless draw by Real Betis last time out.

Whilst it might be a tricky away trip for Diego Simeone’s side, we still think they’ll grab the win on Monday evening to complete our Monday treble.
