Tranmere vs Leicester – Leicester win to nil

Our first Tuesday Treble leg comes from Tranmere, as they welcome Leicester in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Leicester are top of the Championship table, whilst Tranmere are 21st in League Two.

The Foxes have been keeping their opponents nullified on the most part throughout the campaign so far, conceding just three goals from their five goals this season. They also kept a clean sheet in their win over Burton Albion in the last round.

Tranmere have just one win to their name after five league games in the fourth tier, despite only failing to find the back of the net once. However, Leicester pose a very different challenge in quality and unless we see a big shock on the cards, we expect them to win.

Leicester will want to gain confidence at the back, and against a low on confidence Tranmere side, we think they’ll keep a clean sheet here and win to nil.

Plymouth Argyle vs Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace win

Crystal Palace travel to Plymouth for their League Cup game against the Championship side.

Roy Hodgson’s side have four points from a possible nine this season, having only conceded twice so far. Their goalscoring has been unspectacular, scoring just twice.

Argyle started the season positively with a 3-1 win against Huddersfield on the opening day and a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient in the last round of the cup, but have failed to win since then, drawing to Watford and losing to Southampton and Birmingham.

Palace should take advantage of a Plymouth side who have been given a reality check of the second tier, and they should be able to win against Argyle.

Fulham vs Tottenham – Tottenham win

The only all Premier League tie of the second round on Tuesday sees a London derby as Fulham host Tottenham.

The Cottagers have only won once against Spurs in their last 12 meetings and have lost the last six meetings at Craven Cottage. However, they picked up an impressive point at Arsenal after going down to 10 men, and will want to go one further against the Gunners' North London Rivals.

Tottenham maintain an unbeaten record and have two clean sheets from their last two against Man United and Bournemouth. James Maddison has been impressive and will likely lead the charge against Fulham.

Spurs might see the League Cup as a good opportunity to win some silverware so should take this competition seriously. If they do, we can see them beating Marco Silva's side.
