Chelsea vs Wimbledon - Chelsea Win to Nil

Our first leg of our Wednesday treble comes from Chelsea, as they welcome local neighbours AFC Wimbledon to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have struggled to get on a winning run so far this season, whilst Wimbledon currently sit in the play-off places in League Two.

Having only managed one win in three games Chelsea are finding it challenging to find their feet early on this season under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Carabao Cup is a great opportunity for Chelsea to build a winning run and get their season up and running, with a bid of lifting silverware next March.

AFC Wimbledon are currently unbeaten in League Two having played five and drawn three. They will be coming to Stamford Bridge in hope of an upset and to get the better of their rivals having not done so since 1998.

However, Chelsea will be hoping to get through this tie to gain confidence within the squad, and we are backing them to win unless there is a shock on the cards.

Nottingham Forest vs Burnley - Burnley to qualify

Newly promoted Burnley travel to the City Ground in hope of getting their season up and running in an all-Premier League clash.

Nottingham Forest will be hoping to put the misery of their weekend defeat behind where they found themselves losing having been two goals up away at Manchester United. With captain Joe Worrall not available for selection, it could be another miserable evening for the Reds.

Vincent Kompany will be hoping to get his first win of the season at the City Ground having been outplayed by Aston Villa at the weekend. This seems a perfect occasion for Burnley to get their season up and running.

Kompany knew how to win trophies as a player, so he will be hoping that his side can get the better of fellow league strugglers Nottingham Forest on this occasion.

Sheffield United vs Lincoln - Oliver McBurnie to score anytime

The last leg of our Wednesday treble comes from Premier League side Sheffield United as they entertain Lincoln City of League One.

Sheffield United are now three games without a win this season and have found it difficult to find the back of net having scored just two goals in three games.

The Blades will be hoping that McBurnie can find his form and the back of net in this tie against League One Lincoln and get them playing the football again that got them promoted last season.

Lincoln, meanwhile, have had a promising opening start to their campaign having claimed 10 points from their opening five games in League One. They will be hoping to cause a big upset and knock out Premier League strugglers, Sheffield.

We don’t think that will happen though, and can see McBurnie finding his form against lower league opposition and netting a goal anytime.
