Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday's 10/1 FavFour backs Chelsea win

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest – Chelsea

The first of our weekly Favfour comes from West London as Chelsea entertain Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest will be looking to get a first win at Stamford Bridge since the 90’s, and this fixture could be their chance in doing so, given how both sides have started the season.

Nottingham Forest have had a very slow start to the Premier League season and won just once in the opening three games and because of this they currently sit 14th.

Forest will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat in Carabao Cup having slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley. Forest will be happy to see the return of their club captain, Joe Worrall, who sill slot back into the back four, after having served his one game ban from the red card he picked up at Old Trafford.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have struggled to find their stride this season despite the transfer window that they had, bringing in some very exciting players and new manager Mauricio Pochettino. Similar to their opponents this week the league table reflects their early season poor form.

The Blues tip-toed their way to an important 2-1 victory in their previous game against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup and will look to achieve a similar result this weekend.

Leicester City vs Hull – Leicester 

Leicester City welcome Hull City to the King Power Stadium for Matchday Five of the EFL Championship. 
Leicester City are coming into this clash off the back of a 2-0 away win from the midweek Carabao Cup against Tranmere Rovers. Leicester safely progressed through to the third round thanks to a goal from Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi, who came off the bench to provide a goal and an assist. 

All attention is now back on the league where their last outing saw them claim an away win over Rotherham United. The victory ensured that they remained at the top of the league table, having asserted their dominance in the Championship, picking up maximum points from their opening four games.

Meanwhile, Hull City struggled to pick up all three points against Bristol City last time out at the KCOM stadium having been held to a 1-1 draw. Having gone ahead thanks to an Ozan Tufan goal, a second half goal from the visitors mean that the points were shared last time out. 

The draw left the Tigers eighth in the league having picked up seven points from their opening four games. 

With that in mind, it should be the Foxes claiming the three points in this one.

Brighton vs Newcastle – Newcastle 

Brighton had a strong start to the Premier League season with back-to-back 4-1 wins but were defeated 3-1 by West Ham United for the first time in over 10 years. Despite dominating possession and having numerous shots on target, Brighton managed only one goal. West Ham secured the victory with goals from Ward-Prowse, Bowen, and Antonio. 

Brighton will be hoping that they are back to their best and more up to the task against a strong, attacking Newcastle side. 

Newcastle will be hoping to get back to winning way after they lost 2-1 to 10-man Liverpool last time out, initially taking the lead but ultimately succumbing to a brace from Darwin Nunez.

Newcastle currently sit in 13th place and need a win to improve their points tally before the international break, a loss this weekend will leave them with just three points from four matches. 

So we predict Newcastle to bounce back and claim a victory in this one.

Stoke vs Preston North End - Stoke 

The last leg of Saturday’s FavFour comes from the Bet365 Stadium as Stoke City entertains Preston North End. 

At times this season the Potters have looked a very strong outfit, and have aspirations of a top-six finish. However, they must work on building a run of results together if they are to challenge the play-places and automatic promotion.

Last time out the Potters were victorious, netting six goals against Rotherham United in the Carabao Cup, which will be a perfect boost for the team heading into this weekend. 

Preston North End have started the season much better than people expected. They are currently unbeaten this season, and this weekend away to Stoke will be a tough encounter. A win there will leave them in good stead going into the international break. Three wins and a draw from their opening four games have them sitting comfortably in 5th in the league table a month into the new campaign.

We believe Stoke's strong home form will show here and hand Preston North End their first loss of the campaign.
