Serbia vs Hungary – Both Teams to Score

Serbia host Hungary in the first leg of our Thursday treble. Both teams are on seven points after three games in Group G in Euro Qualification for next summers Championships in Germany, both with aspirations to reach the group stage.

Serbia have the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Dusan Tadic and Aleksandar Mitrovic up front for their side, whilst Hungary have new Liverpool signings Dominik Szoboszlai in their ranks.

With that in mind, both sides have scored five goals against their opponents, with just Serbia conceding once to Bulgaria. We think that both teams will get on the score sheet in this one.

France vs Rep of Ireland – France Win to Nil

The second leg sees the Republic of Ireland travel to France for their EURO qualification match.

The reverse fixture saw the French win in Dublin back in March through a Benjamin Pavard goal just after half-time.

Star striker Evan Ferguson blanked in that game, picking up a 5.8 WhoScored average rating, which was the second lowest of those starting the game, and he will miss both the games against France and the Netherlands in this international break.

With that in mind, their attacking prowess is significantly hampered, and we struggle to see them getting on the scoresheet against a French side who have not conceded a goal in qualifying yet. We think Les Bleus will win and keep another clean sheet in this one.

Poland vs Faroe Islands – Poland Win to Nil

Despite Poland’s strong attacking force in notable strikers Robert Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Milik, with strong names in the rest of the squad as Grzegorz Krychowiak, Matty Cash and Piotr Zielinski, they have just a single win to their name in Euro Qualification. A win against the Faroe Islands would be much needed, and hopefully, they can do just that.

Poland went out of the World Cup to runners up France in the Round of 16 stage, and have struggled thereafter in their last three games. Defeats on the road to the Czech Republic and Moldova, ranked 164th in the world, sent a shock into Polish football, especially considering they led 2-0 at halftime. They are four points off the top spot, and three off Albania in 2nd, which they would need to place in to qualify for the Championships next summer.

The Faroe Islands are ranked slightly higher than Moldova, but this must feel like a must-win game to save the Polish from any further embarrassment. We think their charge begins now, and coupled with a poor Faroese attack, it would be silly not to see a home win for the Poles. They won their other home game 1-0, and a similar result here would be much appreciated as we finish off our Thursday treble.
