Football Accumulator Tips: Monday 17/1 Treble backs Forest to win

Salernitana vs Torino – Torino 

Salernitana and Torino are currently separated by two points and five positions in the league standings, and will meet at Stadio Arechi on Monday night.

Salernitana are yet to secure a league victory in three games, while Torino have managed to claim four points in their opening three league games. Under Paulo Sousa's leadership, the hosts survived relegation from the Serie A last season for the second season running and will be hoping to build on their previous campaigns and finish higher up the table.

On the other hand, Ivan Juric's Torino recently ended a two-game winless streak with a 1-0 win over Genoa, thanks to substitute Nemanja Radonjic's late goal.

Although Torino have had success against Salernitana in the past, they can't solely rely on their head-to-head record given their early-season scoring struggles, having scored only two goals in three matches, with Radonjic's late strike being a notable exception.

Given Torino have won two of the last four encounters, with both of last season’s meetings ending 1-1, we think they’ll grab the win here against a Salernitana side yet to win this season.

Nottingham Forest vs Burnley - Nottingham Forest

The second leg of our Monday Treble comes from the Midlands as Nottingham Forest entertain Burnley.

Two weeks after being knocked out of the EFL Cup by Burnley, Forest will be determined to seek revenge as they host Burnley at the City Ground.

The hosts are coming off a 1-0 victory against Chelsea from before the international and will be keen to take the positives from that result with them back to the City Ground.

Meanwhile, Burnley, who had the luxury of playing their first three games at Turf Moor, suffered heavy losses to Manchester City and Aston Villa and were convincingly beaten 5-2 by Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing.

Many expected better from the Clarets, but three well-oiled sides will always be hard to beat. The hosts have scored six goals and only conceded six, whereas the visitors have conceded the joint most goals this season (11), and face a Forest side with their tails up following some good performances to kick off the season.

We are backing Nottingham Forest to get the better of Burnley on this occasion. 

Verona vs Bologna – Verona 

The last leg of our Monday Night treble sees Verona host Bologna in Serie A. 

The fourth round of Serie A fixtures pit Verona against Bologna at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium. Verona will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak against Bologna, despite their 3-1 defeat away at Sassuolo before the international break. Prior to that loss, they won their first three matches, including a Coppa Italia victory. Verona are currently sat seventh in the Serie A standings with six points. 

Bologna secured their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Cagliari before the international break, following a loss to AC Milan and a well-earned point away at Juventus. Bologna, currently ninth in the league with four points, will be looking to climb the table and find some form early in the season.

Verona got the upper hand on Bologna towards the latter stages of last season in their last fixture, winning 2-1, and we think they’ll grab the win again here and complete our Monday treble.
