Arsenal vs Tottenham – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score

The standout game of the weekend comes from the Emirates as the first North London Derby of the season takes place. Arsenal and Tottenham come into this with their unbeaten records intact after five games, both winning four and drawing one of their opening matches.

Arsenal come into this as slight favourites given the improvements to their squad and record at home in the North London Derby; they haven’t lost to Tottenham in the league since November 2010, where Spurs turned around a two goal deposit to win 3-2 under Harry Redknapp.

Tottenham needed another spectacular comeback of their own to beat Sheffield United, who took a shock 1-0 lead going into the dying moments of the game. However, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski were on hand to give Spurs a massive three points going into this one.

Confidence is high in both camps and we could see another Premier League “classic” match. Given that both sides have been impressive, it is too tight to call who will win, despite Arsenal’s last five wins from six at the Emirates in this fixture, so we’ll play it safe and say there will be over 2.5 Goals in the games, and both teams will score. This has happened in the last five encounters at the Emirates, so we’re confident this will continue.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa – Both Teams to Score

Disappointing Chelsea host Aston Villa in what could be a exciting encounter at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have failed to score in their last two games, with last weeks 0-0 draw away to Bournemouth highlighting their woes upfront. They have only beaten Luton so far, suffering a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at home, and they need to turn around their poor start soon.

As for the visitors, Villa have scored 11 goals, the fifth most in the division, but have also conceded 10 goals, joint third worst in the league.  Their nine goals conceded away from home is a league high, and they have looked particularly shaky away from home, as their 3-2 defeat to Legia Warsaw on Thursday night showed.

With just a single win for the Blues and Villa’s poor away record, we’re unsure which way this will go, but we do think that there will be plenty of chances for both sides. We think both teams scoring in this one is a high possibility, so we’ll go for that for the second leg of this Super Sunday Treble.

Liverpool vs West Ham – Mohamed Salah anytime goalscorer

The final leg of our Super Sunday treble comes at Anfield as Liverpool welcome West Ham.

Virgil van Dijk comes back into the Liverpool side after serving his suspension for his dismissal at Newcastle, as Jurgen Klopp’s side will hope for a more comfortable performance than the game at Wolves last weekend, which required a late turnaround to snatch all three points.

Liverpool have won their last five games in all competitions and welcome a West Ham side who have not won at Anfield in their last six visits. Despite that, the Hammers have cause for optimism, having picked up seven points from a possible nine on the road this campaign.

A Liverpool win is still to be expected, but we do think that Mohamed Salah could continue his good run this season. The Egyptian winger has scored in both of Liverpool’s home games against Aston Villa and Bournemouth, and he has picked up goal contributions in all five of his games (two goals, four assists).

Adding to that, West Ham are his joint fourth favourite opponents in terms of scoring goals, scoring nine times in 12 matches against the Hammers. He also has three assists in those games, meaning Salah has picked up a goal contribution on average every time he plays West Ham.

He has only scored more goals against Man United (12), Man City and Spurs (both 11), but Salah has played the latter two over six more times.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the Premier League since their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on April 1st this year, and we think they’ll win again with another Mohamed Salah goal at Anfield to finish off this Super Sunday treble.
