Celta Vigo vs Alaves – Under 2.5 Goals

Celta Vigo welcome Alaves in their Thursday La Liga encounter.

Both sides have been anonymous upfront so far in the season, and we think that will continue here.

The hosts have only scored six goals so far this season, the joint third worst in the league. Only two sides have struggled to score even more, and one of those is Alaves with five goals so far.

The visitors actually sit above their opponents on Thursday night having won two of their opening six games, whereas Celta Vigo only have four points to their name.

Celta Vigo have lost all their home games so far whilst Alaves have lost all their away games so far, so it could a relatively low quality match. We think that will be true of these struggling sides, and we think under 2.5 goals is a possibility.

Granada vs Real Betis – Real Betis win

Our second leg from the Thursday treble sees Real Betis travel to Granada.

The hosts have just three points to their name this season compared to their opponents who are sitting in 10th place at the time of writing with eight points from a possible 18.

Granada have lost all but one game this season, overcoming Mallorca 3-2 in matchday three. Three successive defeats have followed, as their defence appears to be a weakness of their side, conceding 17 goals already so far - only Almeria in 20th have conceded more.

As for Betis, they looked to be going well until a 5-0 defeat away to Barcelona shot their confidence. They can take confidence into this one knowing they won on their last visit to this stadium back in November 2021 and have won the last three meetings between the two sides.

We think Real Betis will pile more misery on a low on confidence Granada side and win at the Estadio Los Cármenes.

Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid win

Osasuna welcome a buoyant Atletico Madrid side after their Madrid derby win on Sunday.

The hosts sit in 12th in the table so far, but they haven’t won in three games, and have just picked up a single point at home.

As for the visitors, they haven’t lost to Osasuna in the league since 2014, winning in their last six meetings, keeping clean sheets in the last four wins. Their 3-1 win over Real was just their second win over their rivals at the Wanda Metropolitano, and given the form Real were in coming into the clash, it was a slight surprise.

Nonetheless, Atletico will be keen to take the positives from that one into this match away at Osasuna, which has been a happy hunting ground for them as of late. We think they’ll grab the three points they’re looking for in this one.
