Leicester vs Preston – Leicester Win

The first selection of our Wednesday Treble comes from The King Power Stadium as Leicester are looking to continue their fine form as they prepare to entertain Preston North End in a midweek Championship tie.

As expected, Leicester City have had a terrific start to life in the Championship, many bookies now have them as odds on favorites to win the Championship at a best price of evens.

The Foxes come into this game off the back of a 4-1 win away to Blackburn. The goals were shared around the squad, which is very promising for manager Enzo Maresca, given that the average goals per game in the league this season is 1.44.

Preston have also had a terrific start to the season and some would argue that they have so far exceeded expectations in the league to be sat third in the table, given their poor end to last season. However, they come into this clash off the back off a 4-0 loss to West Brom. They will want to get back up and running, putting that result behind them, and start to consolidate their place in the top six places.

The Foxes are too good to be losing at home given their squad and start to the season. We are going with a Leicester win.

Newcastle vs PSG – PSG To Win & BTTS

Champions League football finally returns to St. James Park, and what an evening it’s going to be on Tyneside for Eddie Howe’s ‘Black and White’ army as they take on European giants PSG for the first time in the club’s history.

Newcastle have had a superb last two weeks. They held AC Milan to a stalemate at the San Siro, put eight goals past Sheffield United and dumped Man City out of the Carabao Cup.

However, this Champions League tie might come at a good time for Newcastle, as Mbappe & co come into this game of the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Claremont Foot in the league. The Parisians are currently sat fifth in Ligue 1, and will be looking to build momentum in the Champions League that they can take into the following fixtures.

Newcastle have scored 18 goals in the league so far this season, and they will be hoping for more of the same as Eddie Howe’s team prepare for their first Champions League  night at home in almost 20 years. This  group game certainly won’t be lacking goals as PSG have already scored 16 goals this season in just 8 games.

Both teams like to play open and fast football, and this will be the case when the teams meet on Wednesday night. We predict a PSG win and both teams to score.

RB Leipzig vs Man City – Man City Win

The last leg of our Wednesday Treble comes from Germany as the 2022/23 champions Man City take on RB Leipzig.

Manchester City will be hoping that they can bounce back from successive domestic defeats against both Newcastle and Wolves. They will want to get back on track and ensure that they turn their recent form around when they take on Leipzig in this group stage clash.

Both teams are currently sat top of group G after beating FK Crvena Zvezda and Young Boys respectively by a 3-1 scoreline in their opening fixture two weeks ago.

Man City have been exposed in recent weeks and have gone behind four times in the last five games, of which they have gone onto lose, on two of those occasions. Pep Guardiola and his men can’t afford another slow start against an in-form Leipzig outfit who are unbeaten in their last six outings. Man City will no doubt have one eye on their Super Sunday clash against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday and will be wanting to put things right against Leipzig before their Sunday showdown.

We are predicting that Man City will get back to winning ways and win this one.
