FPL Tips for Gameweek 8 from FPL Heisenberg featuring Son vs Haaland using latest odds through oddschecker.
How many injuries are you dealing with in GW8? Can you wait for possible team leaks given the volatility of price changes? Are you hitting that wildcard button?
Goal contribution and clean sheet probabilities in the tables below are taken from best prices at the time of writing through oddschecker, where you can compare odds from 25+ UK bookmakers.
FPL predicted points for the midfielders includes the likelihood of goals, assists and the clean sheet point, minus the probability of a yellow card. It does not factor in bonus points, while it assumes each of the players will pass 60 minutes to collect the two appearance points.
Of the potential Bukayo Saka replacements listed, should the Arsenal man miss out through injury, Bruno Fernandes is the likeliest to receive a card (26.3%) for Man United against Brentford.
Could another Old Trafford defeat spell the end for Erik ten Hag at Man United? He is the second favourite in the sack race behind Sheffield United’s Paul Heckingbottom.

Captaincy is very tough this week, for my own team as things stand I'm going for Son so I'm happy to see the goal contribution % is higher for him compared to Salah and Haaland.

FPL Midfield Tips - FPL Heisenberg
If you haven't got the Son/Maddison double up now should be the time to do it as Spurs embark on a favourable fixture run, starting with Luton away this week.
If you have these two already then I like a Neto who also has decent fixtures and frees up cash for a potential Salah move next week (if not on wildcard in GW8).
Diaby is also a great option but depends on his availability (which isn't clear at time of writing).
Forward ‘Knee Jerk’ – Watkins essential on FPL GW8 Wildcard?
| Player (Match) | Goal | Assist | Goal Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Watkins (WOL Away) | 36.4% | 19% | 55.4% |
| Darwin (BHA Away) | 36.4% | 15.4% | 51.8% |
| Alvarez (ARS Away) | 26.7% | 18.2% | 44.9% |
| Archer (FUL Away) | 20.8% | 12.5% | 33.3% |
FPL Forward Tips - FPL Heisenberg
Alvarez vs Watkins - if you have neither, go for Watkins. If like me you already have Alvarez, I won't be removing him as I really like his form this season in all competitions.
Darwin is a great short term punt, he's finally nailed on for gametime now Gakpo is injured and Jota is suspended for one game.
Things can change quickly though; if Gakpo's injury is short term and Jota finds form after suspension then Darwin will be playing with reduced mins once again.
