Harrogate Town vs Stockport – Stockport win

Stockport County travel to Harrogate in the hope of a win to kick off our Saturday Treble.

The visitors are the third best side away from home, winning three of their five games on the road, only second to AFC Wimbledon and their opponents on Saturday, Harrogate. However, they have played two less games on the road, and are only separated by a single point.

Considering this, it is surprising to see Harrogate languishing in midtable, above MK Dons in 15th. They have the joint second lowest points tally at home, picking up just six points from a possible 15 at home this season; only rock bottom and doomed Forest Green Rovers have a lower points tally at home.

The visitors are also riding a fantastic winning wave at the moment, winning six successive games, with three of those coming away from home

Stockport are favourites to win League Two at a best price of 11/4, and we think there’s a reason for that. It would be a surprise to see them drop points on the road at Harrogate, so we’ll back a win for Dave Challinor’s Hatters outfit for the first game of our Saturday treble.

Cambridge vs Shrewsbury – Both Teams to Score

Cambridge host Shrewsbury in the League One match as part of our Saturday Treble.

The U’s suffered a heavy defeat to the visitors in their latest fixture, losing 5-1 at Shrewsbury in January last year. They have also failed to win in their last five games, and only winless Cheltenham are on a longer winless run.

The Shrews dire form in front of goal was yet to dismay them again, as they picked up a narrow 1-0 win over Northampton in their last League One match. Despite that, just five goals scored from 11 games is a shocking run, and they will hope the win in their last outing will give them the confidence to come to a low on confidence Cambridge side.

With both sides in low confidence, they will seek an opportunity to get some much needed points against a side in equal trouble as themselves. We don’t think there will be many goals, but we do think that both teams will be able to get on the scoresheet in this one.

Hungary vs Serbia – Both Teams to Score

The final leg of our Saturday treble sees Hungary and Serbia meet once again at the top of Group G in Euro 2024 qualifying.

The Hungarians were victorious in the reverse fixture away in Serbia, coming from behind to win 2-1 in Belgrade. It is very possible that the same outcome comes from this game, as Hungary look to move clear of Serbia in first spot, where they currently lead the Serbians on goal difference.

Hungary have been impressive over the last 18 months, beating England twice and winning away in Germany. They are unbeaten since their 2-0 defeat to Italy back in September 2022, and will be hoping to top their group and qualify for the Euro 2024 finals.

As for Serbia, after a disappointing World Cup campaign, which saw them finish bottom of Group G, they have suffered just the one defeat in 2023, coming in the reverse fixture of this match.

Both teams scored in that game, and we think the same will happen again to finish of our Saturday treble.
