Ipswich vs Plymouth Argyle – Ipswich

Ipswich take on Plymouth Argyle in the first leg of this Saturday FavFour.

The Tractor Boys are unstoppable at the moment at the summit of the Championship, winning 10 of the last 12 league games. They won yet again on Wednesday and take on a Plymouth side who are winless away from home, picking up just three points.

Argyle took advantage of a poor Sheffield Wednesday side and won 3-0 to end a four game winless run, but a trip to Portman Road will be a different challenge against a free flowing side who are tough to beat.

Despite their encounters last season, which saw Argyle win at home and pick up a point in League One at Portman Road, it’s a home team bang in form against an inconsistent away side. We’ll back the hosts to continue their brilliant run.

Middlesbrough vs Stoke – Middlesbrough

The second leg of our FavFour sees two improved sides locks horns at the Riverside Stadium, as Middlesbrough face Stoke.

The hosts had a terrible start to the season, winless in their first seven games, but now they can’t stop winning. Six wins on the trot has pulled them away from the relegation zone and into playoffs contention, level on points with 6th place West Brom. A win could boost them into the playoff zone, and they could go as high as third.

As for Stoke, they have been on an upwards trend in their last two with two wins against Sunderland and Leeds. They are still 21st in the league for points away from home and could see their struggles away from the bet365 Stadium continue.

Middlesbrough are rising up the table and no one seems to be able to stop them. We don’t think Stoke will be able to either, so we’ll back another win for Boro.

Oxford vs Wycombe – Oxford

Oxford welcome a Wycombe side to the Kassam Stadium, hoping to bounce back from two disappointing results in their last two.

United saw a very late equaliser against Blackpool snatch two points off their tally, and they suffered defeat to Wigan at the DW Stadium.

As for Wycombe, they’ve suffered the same feat, failing to win in their last two. A late defeat to Bolton on Tuesday would’ve rocked their confidence, and would hope to pick up some points against Oxford, considering they did the double over them last season.

However, Oxford are in form at the top of the table, and despite recent form, they have been fairly impressive. At home, you would back the U’s to win, and that’s what we’ll be doing.

Reading vs Portsmouth – Portsmouth

The final leg of this Saturday FavFour see’s unbeaten Portsmouth travel to relegation threatened Reading.

Pompey saw a six game winning streak come to an end as they drew 0-0 away to Cambridge, but they’ll want to bounce back with a Reading side who have lost five of their last six games.

The visitors have conceded the last goals in the division with eight goals conceded, whereas Reading have scored just 10 whilst shipping 21, the joint second highest in the league.

Admittingly, they’ve picked up all their points at home, but Portsmouth are still the better side here. For our final selection, we think that Pompey will win once again here to finish off our Saturday FavFour selections.
