Football Accumulator Tips: Sunday 11/1 Treble backs Brighton win

Brighton vs Fulham – Brighton  

Fresh from their inaugural European victory, Brighton & Hove Albion return to Premier League action on Sunday against Fulham at the Amex Stadium and headline the first leg of our Sunday Treble.

The Seagulls triumphed 2-0 over Ajax in their first-ever Europa League win, while Marco Silva's squad recently suffered a similar scoreline defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite recent unsatisfactory results, Brighton's home form remains strong, with at least two goals scored in each of their last five games at the Amex Stadium. They haven't been shut out in the Premier League since February, except for a 1-0 loss.

Coincidentally, Fulham secured a 1-0 win in their previous encounter at the Amex Stadium in February, despite Brighton's dominance. Fulham have maintained an unbeaten record against Brighton in the Premier League since the Seagulls' promotion in 2017, but this week has already marked several firsts for the blue-and-white-clad team.

Fulham's quest for effective attacking strategies remains elusive, especially without Aleksandar Mitrovic, and we predict that they are likely to leave the Amex Stadium lamenting another goalless and fruitless performance against De Zerbi's resurgent squad.

Frankfurt vs Dortmund – Dortmund

Both Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund are seeking to prolong their winning streaks in their upcoming Bundesliga match. 

Frankfurt have secured victories in their last two league games, bouncing back from a slow start under new manager Dino Toppmoller, where they won only one of their first six matches under his guidance. 

Meanwhile, domestically, Dortmund have been in excellent form recently, recovering from disappointing draws earlier in the season. Julian Brandt's goal sealed their recent victory against Werder Bremen, and they aim to maintain their defensive strength as they face Frankfurt. 

Although Frankfurt has shown improvement in recent weeks, they lack the same level of quality they had in previous seasons, making it likely that the visiting team will secure another narrow victory.

Man United vs Man City- Man City & BTTS 

The 191st Manchester derby at Old Trafford is set to attract a massive crowd on Sunday afternoon, with Manchester United facing their noisy neighbours, Manchester City.

Both teams come into this highly anticipated clash fresh from Champions League victories. Manchester United secured a 1-0 win against Copenhagen, thanks to Harry Maguire's second-half header and an important stoppage-time penalty save by the under-pressure Andre Onana. Meanwhile, the reigning European champions, Manchester City, triumphed over BSC Young Boys with a 3-1 scoreline.

Manchester United finally found success in the top tier of European football after three attempts, and Ten Hag's team has now managed a three-game winning streak for the first time in the 2023-24 campaign, although none of these victories were particularly convincing.

Pep Guardiola's treble-winning Manchester City have had a mixed bag of results recently. They managed to avoid a third successive Premier League defeat last weekend by narrowly defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1.

 This victory kept them in close pursuit of the league leaders, Tottenham Hotspur, who had the chance to temporarily go five points clear with a win over Crystal Palace on Friday night.
