Lazio vs Fiorentina – Lazio

After experiencing their fifth defeat of the season, Lazio will attempt to narrow the gap with Fiorentina in the Serie A standings when they face off on Monday evening in the first leg of our Monday Treble.

Lazio return to the Stadio Olimpico after a Champions League loss in Rotterdam. Whilst Lazio remain susceptible when playing away, they have recently secured victories in their last two league matches at Stadio Olimpico, matching their total of home wins in the previous six games.

Additionally, they have prevailed in six of their last eight encounters with Fiorentina, giving them confidence going into Monday's match.

The advantage of playing at home could prove decisive in this contest between two evenly matched teams, as Lazio tends to perform well on their home turf, while Fiorentina have often struggled on the road.

Given Lazio's defensive issues, it's likely that Fiorentina will find the net at least once at the Olympio, but that might not be sufficient to earn them a point.

Coventry vs West Brom – West Brom

Coventry City are set to face West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening, aiming for a victory that could propel them out of the Championship relegation zone.

West Brom have started the weekend in the top six, with just a five-point gap separating the two teams in the standings.

Heading into the October international break, Coventry had a positive outlook after losing only two of their first 11 matches. However, back-to-back losses to Bristol City and Rotherham United, both without scoring a goal, have left Mark Robins and his team in the 20th position in the league table. Two of Coventry’s wins have come against struggling Sheffield Wednesday and QPR.

Nevertheless, what truly matters for Coventry is that they accumulating as many points as possible to ensure their safety going into the second half of the season. West Brom have kept five clean sheets in six league matches, with their only defeat in eight games occurring away at Birmingham City in a controversial manner.

We predict that West Brom will get the better of Coventry on this occasion. You can read what Scott Thornton thinks about the match here.

Granada vs Villarreal - Villarreal

The last leg of our Monday Treble comes for the La Liga as Villarreal are aiming to secure their first La Liga victory since mid-September when they head to Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes to take on Granada this Monday.

Currently, the visiting team are situated in 14th place in the league, having gathered only nine points from their first 10 matches of the season. On the other hand, Granada are in 19th position, with just six points from their initial 10 games.

Granada earned their return to La Liga by winning the 2022-23 Segunda Division and will be determined to establish themselves at the top level following a season in the second tier.

Historically, Granada have not beaten Villarreal in Spain's top flight since March 2014. In their most recent clash in February 2022, the Yellow Submarines emerged victorious with a 4-1 score, and we predict more of the same when the two sides clash on Monday night. So we are going for a Villarreal win.
