Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday FavFour 10/1 backs emphatic Man City win

Everton vs Brighton – Brighton

The first of our Saturday FavFour is from Merseyside as Everton, who are in excellent form, host Brighton & Hove Albion at Goodison Park.

The Toffees secured a spot in the EFL Cup quarterfinals in the week by scoring three unanswered goals against Burnley. Last time out Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton team failed to maintain their slim lead and settled for a 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Everton showed a good display of what is to come on Merseyside when they played Burnley in the week as they gave Burnley a footballing lesson at Goodison Park where Amadou Onana and Ashley Young contributed to an emphatic victory. 

Brighton, with three draws and one defeat in their last four Premier League matches, have slipped in the intense top-four race. The visitors currently hold seventh place in the table with 17 points, trailing six points behind Liverpool in the fourth and final Champions League position.

We think this will be a close one but expect Brighton to pick up the three points and get back to winnings ways.

Man City vs Bournemouth – Man City 

Nearly a week after their dominant derby win, Manchester City host Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium in a Premier League clash.

City will be looking to extend their winning streak to four matches across all competitions, whereas Bournemouth will be seeking to bounce back from their EFL Cup fourth-round exit to Liverpool midweek.

After victories against Man United and Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City are back on track in their pursuit of a record fourth successive Premier League title. Despite a slight dip in form before October's international break, Guardiola's side now sit two points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur. 

As Man City return to the Etihad this weekend, it has been a fortress this year as they have won all 14 Premier League home matches in 2023 and emerged victorious in their last 21 home games across all competitions.

Bournemouth, after a challenging start to the season with six defeats and three draws in their initial nine Premier League matches, will be looking to bounce back this weekend, however, it will be a tough challenge with a City side who are back on track and back to winning ways. 

The Cherries have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 Premier League matches. With City's remarkable home form and an impressive winning record against Bournemouth, a comfortable home victory seems likely this weekend. 

Stoke vs Cardiff – Stoke 

Stoke City will be looking to close in on the Championship playoff spots as they host Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon. 

Despite sitting in 11th position in the table, Stoke's recent three-match winning streak, led by manager Alex Neil, has been impressive, securing victories against Sunderland, Leeds United, and Middlesbrough. 

While the first two wins benefited from home advantage, the Potters faced the challenge of an away match against Middlesbrough, a team on a six-match winning streak at the Riverside Stadium. This weekend they face a Cardiff that has emerged as one of the season's surprise performers under Erol Bulut.

Cardiff, currently in sixth place, has showcased their strength with successive wins over Huddersfield Town and Bristol City, even in the absence of Aaron Ramsey. As two of the in-form teams in the division clash, expectations are high for a high-quality contest. 

We are backing Stoke for this one who aim to continue their unexpected upturn in fortunes with a fourth consecutive victory. 

West Brom vs Hull – West Brom  

The last of our Saturday FavFour is from the Hawthorns Stadium as West Bromwich Albion host Hull City in a significant encounter in the top half of the Championship table. 

Both teams are riding on the momentum of consecutive victories, and find themselves closely positioned, with the host currently in fifth place and Hull in seventh, both teams with 23 points, and only goal difference separates the two sides heading into this clash. 

West Bromwich Albion come into this fixture with high spirits, having secured back-to-back wins that propelled them into the playoff positions. On the other side, the visiting team will be seeking their third consecutive victory to surpass the Baggies and re-enter the top six, showing signs of regained form since the international break.

Liam Rosenior's side, after a strong start to the campaign, encountered a slight dip. And will be hoping that this weekend they can put down a mark of intent and push for the playoffs. 

This is a close one to call, but we are backing West Brom on this occasion and think that Home Advantage could be vital.
