Football Accumulator Tips: Sunday 6/1 Treble backs in form Liverpool

Norwich City vs Blackburn – Blackburn 

The first of our Sunday treble is from Norwich as they welcome Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, to put an end to their five-game winless run.

Currently positioned in 17th place in the standings, Norwich City had a strong start to the season under David Wagner, accumulating 10 points from their first four matches. 

This promising beginning might have suggested a sustained push for promotion from a team that struggled in the 2022-23 season. 

However, the East Anglian squad have only managed to secure seven points from the subsequent 10 games, losing seven of those fixtures, which has led to criticism of Wagner and his players.

Blackburn Rovers, on the other hand, enter this match having been knocked out of the EFL Cup in the fourth round, suffering a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea. Despite some moments of frustration on the night, Jon Dahl Tomasson might prefer to focus on their pursuit of promotion to the Premier League. 

We are backing Blackburn to get the job done and put further pressure on David Wagner and his men. 

Nottingham Forrest vs Aston Villa – Aston Villa 

Nottingham who are eager to end a six-game winless streak, as they host an Aston Villa squad aiming for their fourth consecutive victory at the City Ground this Sunday. 

The Tricky Trees suffered a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in their latest Premier League match, while Unai Emery's side extended their impressive home run with a 3-1 victory over Luton Town. 

With no EFL Cup commitments during the week, Steve Cooper and his struggling Forest team have had ample time to find a solution to their recent lack of wins. They have managed only four draws and two defeats since their surprising 1-0 win against Chelsea at the beginning of September.

 Aston Villa, on the other hand, have had a remarkable start to the season with 22 points from their first 10 games, putting them in fifth place in the standings at the time of writing. This is their best start to a campaign since the 1998-99 season, and it has been 70 years since they last won seven of their first 10 top-tier season games.

A series of impressive wins, including 4-1 victories over AZ Alkmaar and West Ham United, precede their recent success against Luton. Villa have scored 11 goals in their last three matches, but replicating their home form on the road has proven to be a challenge.

We are backing Villa to win this one and picking up three points this weekend. 

Luton Town vs Liverpool – Liverpool 

The last our our Sunday Trebel is from Kenilwoeth Raod as Liverpool are poised to secure their fifth consecutive win in all competitions when they face Luton Town in Sunday's Premier League clash. 

In midweek EFL Cup action, the Reds defeated Bournemouth 2-1, while Luton Town suffered a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa in the West Midlands. 

During the same period, Bournemouth secured their first Premier League victory of the season by defeating Burnley, moving Luton down the standings and into the relegation zone. As a result, Luton enter game week 11 in the 18th spot and could drop further if results go against them elsewhere. 

The month of October proved to be a challenging one for the newly-promoted Luton side. Despite starting the month with a 3-point haul against Everton, they only managed to secure one point from their subsequent four matches, including a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

With several well-rested first-team players set to return to the starting lineup. We expect Liverpool to hand Luton Town another difficult afternoon as they aim for their fifth consecutive victory.
