Shakhtar Donetsk vs Barcelona – Barcelona

The first Leg of our Tuesday Treble is from Germany as Shakhtar Donetsk entertains Barcelona in the Champions’ League group stages.

Both sides come into this game off the back of wins in their respective domestic competitions. Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad away from home, meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk scraped past Dynamo Kyiv, 1-0. 

In Group H, it’s very pretty reading for Barcelona as they currently occupy the top spot, with nine points whereas Shakhtar Donetsk need to find three points this evening to keep their Champions League dreams alive. 

A win for Xaxi and his men this evening will all but guarantee Barcelona a spot in the knockout draw. Shakhtar Donetsk have lost just one of their last five games and will be looking to bring league momentum into the match with the Spanish club.

We are backing Barcelona to win on this occasion and expect to see goals given Shakhtar Donetsk have concede over 2.33 Goals per match in the champions league this season.

Borussia Dortmund vs Newcastle – Dortmund 

Next up in our Tuesday Treble is from Germany as Newcastle travel to Dortmund for the very first time. The two sides only met for the first time a few weeks back. Dortmund came away from St James Park with the bragging rights thanks to a goal from Felix Nmecha.

Newcastle come into the game with lots of good football under their belt, with a win over Arsenal at the weekend, and thumped Man Utd in the EFL Cup. Newcastle have lost just one of their last five, with the only defeat coming to Borussia Dortmund. Both sides come into this game on four points, with just goal difference separating the two sides. 

Since Jude Bellingham left Germany in the summer, Dortman have struggled to get going this season. They currently sit fourth in the Bundesliga and off the back of a 0-4 loss to Bayern Munich. Dortmund will be hoping for a win tonight and hoping they can carry momentum into the League. 

This is going to be a very tight encounter between two sides who are desperate to do well in this competition. But we think that Dortmund will be too much for Newcastle and that home advantage is going to be crucial.

AC Milan vs PSG – PSG 

The last leg of our Tuesday Treble is from the San Siro as AC Milan plays host to PSG, who are looking to win the competition for the very first time, having come close on many occasions. 

Both teams come into this Group F game off the back of very contrasting results in their domestic leagues. AC Milan suffered a home defeat to Udinese making it their fourth consecutive game without a win. 

Their counterparts PSG come into the game off the back of five wins both in the League and Champions League. It appears PSG have put their game against Newcastle behind them, where they lost 4-1. 

PSG currently occupies the top spot in Group H with six points, with the Italian side on two points at the bottom, knowing that they must win this evening to have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages. 

In the last five games PSG have scored five goals and only conceded three. We believe that we could see more of the same this evening when come up against Milan. We are going for a comfortable PSG win.
