Ukraine vs Italy – Both Teams to Score

The big games in terms of Euro 2024 qualification on Monday comes between Ukraine and Italy.

With England having already qualified for the Euro 2024 finals, only one of Italy and Ukraine can join them automatically, with the other having to go through the play-offs. Italy will qualify if they avoid defeat by Ukraine, meaning that the hosts must win to stand a chance of qualifying for the finals in Germany in summer 2024.

Italy won the reverse fixture 2-1 in September through two Davide Frattesi goals. They haven’t lost to Ukraine in their last six meetings in all competitions, so Ukraine will have to do all they can to overturn that and defy the odds in qualifying.

Ukraine have scored in all but one of their seven qualification games, whereas Italy have scored in all seven of them so far. Both teams scored in the reverse fixture, and we expect the same going into this crunch match in Group C.

Czech Republic vs Moldova – Czech Republic Win & Under 3.5 Goals

Another big game in Euro 2024 qualification sees Czech Republic take on Moldova.

Both teams can qualify depending on the result of this game, but Moldova are the ones who have it all to do. They must win to qualify for Euro 2024, whereas the hosts just have to avoid defeat.

The reverse fixture finished goalless, with both teams not being big scorers in the group. Recent games for the Czech’s have seen under 3.5 goals in the last four Group E fixtures. Only one game of Moldova’s qualification journey has seen over two goals scored, which was their 3-2 win over Poland back in June.

We see the hosts coming out on top of this one in what we think will be a cagey affair, so we’ll back a home win with under 3.5 goals scored in the game.

Slovenia vs Kazakhstan – Slovenia Win & Over 2.5 Goals

The final leg of this Monday treble sees Slovenia host Kazakhstan.

Once again, both teams can secure their place in Germany next summer with a win, so there will be high stakes to play for in this one.

The hosts have the chance to reach their first major tournament since 2010 if they avoid defeat here, whereas Kazakhstan have the chance to reach their first ever major tournament since becoming a member of UEFA.

Slovenia won 2-1 last time these two nations met in Astana, so you would think they are favourites to win here in front of their home crowd.

Kazakhstan have had some terrific results go their way in this qualification campaign, including a 3-2 win over Denmark, coming from two goals down in that one. They’ll certainly give it their all in Ljubljana.

However, we see the hosts winning, possibly by the same scoreline as the reverse fixture. Over 2.5 goals were scored in that meeting, so we feel confident backing a home win and over 2.5 goals scored in the game to finish off this Monday treble.
