Luton vs Crystal Palace - Crystal Palace

The Premier League is back and Luton and Crystal Palace go head to head in their first game since the break.

Both teams suffered narrow defeats last time out, with Luton going down 1-0 to Manchester United, and Crystal Palace losing 3-2 to Everton. Courtesy of Everton’s 10 point deduction, Luton come out of the drop zone by a point, but are still three points off Bournemouth in 16th. They are yet to win at home this season, despite picking up a valiant point against Liverpool.

As for Palace, they definitely fancy trips on the road, picking as many points (10) as Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton away from home. The Eagles are joint top of the clean sheet table with Arsenal and Newcastle United on five clean sheets, and they’ll hope for another one to add to the list at Kenilworth Road.

With the visitors form dropping slightly since the start of the season, they’ll want to bounce back against a determined Hatters outfit and win here, which we think they will do.

Burnley vs West Ham - West Ham

Another promoted side against an established Premier League side from the capital in this one as West Ham make the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Despite lots of praise for their previous campaign, Burnley find themselves right in the midst of a relegation dogfight. Just four points from 12 games puts them bottom on goal difference. They’ve found it difficult to pick up points like the other promoted sides, and it looks like they could all go straight down again.

As for the Hammers, a crucial win against Nottingham Forest ended their three game losing streak, and they’ll take a trip to Turf Moor as a chance to boost themselves further up the table. They could go above Brighton with a win on Saturday, but they might have to do it without star man Jarrod Bowen, who is a doubt for the game.

Despite that, the visitors will still have enough quality to get stuck into a low on confidence Clarets outfit. An away win is all we can see happening here.

Birmingham vs Sheffield Wednesday - Birmingham

We dip into the Championship for these next two fixtures, as Birmingham take on Sheffield Wednesday.

The Blues have fallen off a cliff in recent weeks following the appointment of Wayne Rooney as manager, who is yet to win after his first five games. They are actually below the visitors in points from the last five games, which could be a dire sign of things to come.

Not as dire as the scenes at Hillsborough though, where Wednesday are marooned at the bottom of the Championship table after 16 games. Just six points so far means they are nine points off safety, which is already looking out of the question in November. A battering at home to Millwall before the international break wouldn’t have helped, and a trip to fellow strugglers Birmingham will be a tough challenge.

We expect Rooney to get his first win against Wednesday in what will be a cagey affair, with both sides seeking an opportunity to grab some much needed points.

Leicester City vs Watford - Leicester City

Last but not least is top of the league Leicester City against mid table Watford.

Surprisingly, it’s actually the visitors who are on top from these two in terms of form from the last six games played, unbeaten in their last six, compared to the Foxes who have lost their last two games. Leicester will want to turn that around though as Ipswich are right on their tails.

The last times these sides met saw a comfortable Foxes win, but that was when both sides were still in the Premier League. Watford are the team on the up, and will want to continue that momentum and pick up something from the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

It should be a lively encounter, as a team with an abundance of quality take on a side who are moving on up in the table. We still think the hosts will grab the three points though, so we’ll close off our Saturday FavFour with a Leicester win.
