The oddschecker team have picked out a 7/1 Tuesday Treble covering action from the Champions League.
17:45 Tuesday
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Royal Antwerp - Shakhtar Donetsk Win
The first of our Tuesday matchups see Shakhtar Donetsk take on Royal Antwerp in Group H.
Shakhtar have a slim chance of qualifying, as it looks like they will need to win both of their games if they stand a chance of qualifying. They cannot afford to drop points here, and would hope their good home result against Barcelona would give them the means to kick on and qualify for the knockouts. They beat Antwerp in their last encounter in Belgium, winning 3-2.
The visitors have lost all four of their games in the Champions League so far and look set to finish rock bottom of the standings. If they want to continue with their European journey, they would have to not only beat Shakhtar today, but beat Barcelona in Matchday 6 and hope Shakhtar get nothing from their trip to Porto; a highly unlikely scenario.
Antwerp have been unable to pick up any points thus far and that looks set to continue, as Shakhtar look to go into the final group game with the chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
20:00 Tuesday
PSG v Newcastle – Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score
Another team on the brink of elimination is Newcastle, and they must avoid defeat to PSG in order to remain in the hunt for the knockout rounds.
The hosts had an impressive 5-2 win over Monaco on Friday and a win could take them through the Last 16, should AC Milan also fail to win. They were battered 4-1 at St James Park, but that will only serve as an opportunity for revenge going to the Parc des Princes.
As for Newcastle, back to back defeats against Borussia Dortmund has meant they are bottom of the group going into the penultimate gameweek. They will go out of the Champions League if they fail to win, and might also be confirmed as 4th place in Group F if AC Milan also win, due to the head to head record.
The reverse fixture gave us a heavy home win, with five goals scored, and both teams scoring. We do think both teams will score, and it will probably be just as entertaining as the previous meeting between these two. We’ll back over 2.5 goals scored and both teams getting on the scoresheet, as this bet has returned in their last respective fixtures and the last meeting between these two sides.
20:00 Tuesday
Feyenoord v Atletico Madrid - Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score
The last fixture as part of our Tuesday Treble sees Atletico Madrid travel to Feyenoord in the Netherlands, looking to secure their place in the Last 16.
Feyenoord can’t secure their place in the Last 16 just yet, as they will have to wait until the final group game anyway. They can go out if they lose to Atletico and Lazio win at home to Celtic. Given their strong first half performance in Madrid, where they took the lead twice, the Dutch outfit will see this as a perfect opportunity to move above the Spanish side.
As for Atletico, the job is simple; they win and they qualify for the Last 16. Diego Simeone’s men have been highly impressive in the Champions League so far, scoring the joint most goals from the opening four games. Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann have contributed with nine of those 12 goals scored, and will look to play another big part in their chances of qualification this time round.
Just like the last leg, the previous meeting saw both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals scored, so we would definitely feel confident on the same happening again on Tuesday night. We’ll back over 2.5 goals scored and both teams scoring to finish off the 7/1 Tuesday treble.
