I make no apologies for again including Abdoulaye Doucoure in this column. The Mali man really should have landed the Over 0.5 Shots on-Target bounty last weekend against Manchester United but has remained a solid option in this particular market throughout the campaign; he’s 11/10 (2.10) with bet365 to land an attempt on-target on Saturday.

The Everton ace has hit the target in nine of his 13 starts for the Toffees in 2023/24, providing profit in this market in six of his last eight Premier League outings across all venues. The 30-year-old operates in an advanced role behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin and is providing plenty of threat from open play and dead-ball situations. 

Doucoure is averaging 1.76 shots per-90 and is posting 1.04 shots on-target per-90 this season, impressive figures that make odds-against offerings on a repeat too attractive to turn down away at Nottingham Forest.

Injury and suspension-hit Tottenham bid to arrest their three-game losing streak with a daunting trip to Manchester City on Super Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s aggressive and attacking outfit are bound to give the Citizens a few potential headaches, although Spurs are understandably considered large outsiders at The Etihad.

I’m keen to focus on tackles in this particular tussle with two of Tottenham’s leading lights in this metric. Backing the returning Yves Bissouma and Iyenoma Udogie to make at least two successful tackles each holds plenty of appeal considering the duos exceptional numbers.

Bissouma has covered the Over 1.5 Tackles line in nine of 11 EPL outings this term, recording 3+ tackles on nine occasions and averaging 3.65 tackles per-90. He’s hit 2+ tackles in six of seven away days, only failing to reach our required threshold at Luton.

Meanwhile, Udogie has managed two or more tackles in eight of his 10 Premier League starts, averaging 3.39 tackles per-90. The Italian has posted away tackle numbers of 3-0-5-8-3 with the zero arriving at Bournemouth way back in August; here he is likely to be up against Phil Foden, one of Man City’s leaders for dribbles and attacking contributions.
