Newcastle vs Fulham – Newcastle

Newcastle seek to get over the hangover of their Champions League exit as Fulham come to town.

The Geordies have lost the last three and their injury problems continue to mount. Kieran Trippier will also miss out through suspension, adding to their defensive woes.

As for Fulham, back-to-back 5-0 wins at home puts them in a confident mood coming into this one. A third 5-0 win is surely out of the question however as they travel to St James Park, but they have scored the most goals in the last six games of any other side.

Newcastle should still win here though. They won both encounters last season, despite leaving it late in the latest fixture to seal a win. We think they’ll still have enough to beat the Cottagers, who have not won away from home since the opening day of the season.

Bournemouth vs Luton – Bournemouth

After a rocky start to the season, where the Cherries only picked up their first win in late October, they welcome Luton Town to the Vitality Stadium, with confidence oozing through their veins.

Andoni Iraola’s side have won five of their last seven and, after a start that involved no wins in their opening nine games, are unbeaten in their last five games, winning four of those.

Luton have lost their last three games, despite those coming against title challengers Arsenal and Champions Manchester City.

Bournemouth are the second most in-form side in the division, and we think that confidence will help them get over the line in this one.

Bristol City vs Sunderland – Sunderland

Sunderland were able to beat Leeds in midweek to move them into the play off spots. They’ll want to remain there with a win over Bristol City.

Mike Dodds has won his last two games in interim charge of the Black Cats and with talks with Will Still ongoing for the Championship club, this could be the last game he takes charge of.

As for the Robins, three defeats in their last four after Liam Mannings arrival leaves Bristol City with five points from their last six. Not the start Manning would’ve hoped for after leaving Oxford United.

That poor run is at risk of continuing, and we think it very well could when Sunderland rock up at Ashton Gate. Sunderland win is what we predict here.

Southampton vs Blackburn – Southampton

The final game of this weekend’s FavFour sees Southampton welcome Blackburn to St Marys.

Blackburn beat Liam Manning’s Bristol in midweek but remain just outside the play-offs spots in 9th place. This is their first trip to St Marys in almost 19 years, with that fixture taking place in the Premier League.

Few Saints and Rovers will remember the last two times these two sides met at St Marys, where the Saints marched on to take three points on both occasions. Russell Martin’s side got over their shocking September, where they lost four of the five fixtures in that month, and have been unbeaten since their win over Leeds on September 30th.

That should continue with a win to make it a fifth straight home win for the Saints, and to hopefully land us this 10/1 FavFour for the weekend.
