Luton vs Chelsea – Chelsea 

Kenilworth Road is set to host the Premier League matchup between Luton Town and Chelsea this Saturday. This game marks the final meeting between the two teams in 2023. 

In their recent fixtures, Rob Edwards's Luton secured a captivating 3-2 victory over Sheffield United on Boxing Day, while Chelsea managed a late 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.

Sitting within striking distance of Everton, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest with a game in hand, Luton have the opportunity to secure three consecutive top-flight successes for the first time since December 1991. Interestingly, their third win during that streak came against none other than Chelsea.
Luton's home ground has proven to be a fortress in this Premier League season, with no visiting team managing to dominate Edwards's squad. Chelsea, despite their late heroics against Crystal Palace, face a challenge given their inconsistent away record.

With an additional day of rest, Luton will be poised to capitalize on their forward prowess. However, the fresh legs of Sterling and Palmer for Chelsea could pose a threat and create chaos for the Luton backline.
The stage is set for an intriguing battle, with Pochettino's side aiming to break their away hoodoo at Kenilworth Road.

Crystal Palace vs Brentford – Brentford

Following midweek Premier League setbacks, struggling London rivals Crystal Palace and Brentford have an opportunity to conclude 2023 on a positive note as they face off at Selhurst Park on Saturday. 
Roy Hodgson's team suffered a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea, with the decisive blow coming from an 89th-minute penalty. Meanwhile, Brentford's woes persisted in a dismal 4-1 home loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In their recent outing, Crystal Palace seemed poised for a well-earned draw, with Michael Olise equalizing an early Mykhaylo Mudryk goal. However, the turning point came when referee Michael Salisbury dismissed appeals for a penalty, and Palace squandered a promising four-on-two counter-attack. The play was eventually called back for Eberechi Eze's challenge on Noni Madueke.

Brentford's recent Premier League form has been bleak, with six of their last seven games ending in defeat. The only exception was a 3-1 home victory over Luton Town. Notably, the history between Brentford and Palace in the top-flight has seen five previous encounters resulting in draws, including their most recent clash, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate in August.

Wolves vs Everton – Everton 

Eager to cap off the year with a third consecutive Premier League win, Wolverhampton Wanderers  host Everton at Molineux this Saturday for their final fixture of 2023.

Gary O'Neil's squad dominated Brentford with a convincing 4-1 victory on Wednesday, while Everton couldn't hold onto a narrow lead against Manchester City, succumbing to a 3-1 defeat against the reigning champions.

Wolves, coming off a successful 2-1 win over Chelsea on Christmas Eve, took advantage of Brentford defender Nathan Collins's subpar performance, as he directly contributed to two of the four goals scored on Wednesday night.

In contrast, Everton, after sparking hope with a commendable four-match winless streak earlier in the month, have returned to a losing streak, despite briefly leading 1-0 against Manchester City. 
Jack Harrison's goal initially gave them the advantage, but a second-half comeback from the European and world champions, turned the tide against the Toffees.

In recent encounters, Everton have struggled against Wolves, suffering four defeats and one draw in their last five Premier League meetings. Wolves emerged victorious with a 1-0 score at Goodison Park in August, with towering striker Sasa Kalajdzic utilizing his 6'6 frame to score an 87th-minute header.
