Norwich vs Southampton - Southampton Win
Southampton will go in search of a fifth straight victory in the Championship when they make the trip to Carrow Road on New Year's Day to tackle Norwich City.
The Saints, who are up in third spot in the Championship table, will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle, while Norwich were beaten 1-0 at Millwall last time out.
Norwich have won seven of their 12 home Championship matches this season, but they will be welcoming a Southampton side with the third-best away record in the second tier, with the Saints picking up an impressive 22 points on their travels.
This has all of the makings of a fascinating match, and we are expecting it to be an entertaining contest. Southampton will go in search of a fifth straight Championship win, but Norwich have been strong at home this season but with bad results over the festive period we can see the Saints winning this one.
15:00 Monday
Middlesbrough v Coventry - Middlesbrough win
In a repeat of last season's playoff semi-final, Middlesbrough will welcome Coventry City to the Riverside Stadium on New Year's Day, with both sides chasing down the top six.
Boro returned to winning ways with a narrow success at strugglers Huddersfield Town on Friday, while the Sky Blues were held at home to managerless Swansea City on the same day.
Having won three of their last four matches in the Championship, Boro have clawed themselves to within striking distance of the top-six positions as the campaign heads into 2024, with sixth-placed Sunderland just three points better off than the Teesside club ahead of Monday's fixtures.
Coventry City were unable to make it three-straight wins in the Championship on Friday night as they were frustratingly held to a 2-2 draw against a Swansea side under the interim stewardship of Alan Sheehan, but the Sky Blues' unbeaten run did extend to an impressive six matches.
With Boro finding their rhythm back we fancy them to beat Coventry on New Year's Day.

Liverpool vs Newcastle - Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
A battle of the North features on the Premier League New Year's Day menu for 2024 as Liverpool host Newcastle United at their Anfield base on Monday.
The Reds are on course to enter January at the summit of the standings courtesy of a 2-0 Boxing Day beating of Burnley, while the Magpies were humbled 3-1 at home by Nottingham Forest last time out.
After prevailing in each of their 11 opening home games of the new term, playing out two draws in their last three Anfield battles may have dampened the spirits somewhat, but not since 2005 have they fallen to defeat on New Year's Day, winning four and drawing one of their subsequent five fixtures.
In contrast, the Newcastle contingent will be praying for the New Year to breathe a new sense of life into their under-staffed and under-performing side, who were condemned to their sixth loss from seven games against Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest thanks to an erstwhile marksman.
We can see a host of goals in this for both teams so we are backing the Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals.
